1. if I summon Junk Destroyer and my opponent activates Bottomless Traphole can I still use Junk Destroyer's effect to destroy cards?

2. if my opponent attacks my face-down monster can I equip my flipped monster with Blast with Chain? 93.128.50.82 (talk) 19:30, June 23, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, Junk Destroyer's effect don't interrupt.
No, it required to be face-up and "Blast with Chain" has nothing to do with the Battle Phase. --FredCat 19:38, June 23, 2011 (UTC)

1. Yes, you can use Junk Destroyer's effect since it's effect happens when it's synchro summoned and Bottomless Trap Hole is being activated in response to the summon.

2. Yes you can equip since it's changing the ATK/DEF of one monster on the field.

Er, in second question, Flip was leading to the destruction of the battle, which leading to death. That would be possible for the target to missing, which is impossible for you to equip on. You're missing the timing. --FredCat 19:44, June 23, 2011 (UTC)
Oh, I thought it said if you can equip the monster when it's flipped face-up during the Damage Step, which you can. Tea-Girl08 15:48, June 23, 2011 (EST)
Well, that monster is dying, so you cannot give brand new item to the skeleton (Except Summoned Skull) when it is just ate down by some violent monsters. It only work if it is haste to increase DEF (if in Defense Position) or ATK (if in Attack Position). "Blast with Chain" is normal Trap that turned Equip won't helps, only one with increase power or is quick-play can helps. --FredCat 19:55, June 23, 2011 (UTC)

after it is flipped face up in the damage step you can equip it, but that would be pointless... blast with chain only destroys if destroyed by an effect. And except 1 of the new tg spells (don't remember the name, it halfes the attack and destroys an s/t) I don't see any cards which could destroy it in the damage step... -dest- (talkcontribs) 19:58, June 23, 2011 (UTC)

fred, it doesn't matter in which position the monster is, you can always use att increasing effects on a def monster in the damage step, even if that is pointless. -dest- (talkcontribs) 20:00, June 23, 2011 (UTC)

Question that included "Blast with Chain"

another situation: if my opponent activates Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy my Blast with Chain which is face-down can I activate it and equip a face-up or face-down monster and then use its effect to destroy a card?

Be sure to edits your post with four tildes at end of your comments if you're post in the forum or talk/discussion article, k? As for that question, yes you can since it's chain resolved. If you chained to MST, you can use it effect to shot it up. --FredCat 20:13, June 23, 2011 (UTC)
You can't use Blast with Chain on a face-down monster.
The situation mentioned at the top was equipping a face-up monster in Substep 3: Before Damage Calculation. face-down monsters are flipped face-up at Substep 2; per Breakdown of the Battle Phase. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 23:58, June 23, 2011 (UTC)
