Well this list seems pretty good but with a few strange things, Avarice and Icarus? I don't know about you but I have never seen these cards really "abused" maybe icarus in blackwings (which explains black whirlwind) and dark hole + magician of faith = I see brokenness on an epic scale, because all of the sudden Dark hole, Heavy storm, and Infernity Launcher are even worse-ier--Berfomet (talk • contribs) 06:30, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

Well, actually, the lists seem to derive more for what's been doing awesome in the OCG that the TCG-players aren't seeing at the moment. Perhaps we're just going for the most deadliest combos that are in front of us whereas the OCG-players probably know something we don't. Sounds like a conspiracy theory though, ha-ha! This list looks deceptive, but kinda convincing. First: Are they really hurting GB decks that much by banning both Rescue Cat and Cold Wave (I don't care about War Chariot becasue I use 2 myself). Seriously, if we look at the top 16 deck list at the from Gen-Con Indy (link here: http://www.konami.com/yugioh/blog/?p=3564#more-3564) there is only one GB deck on that whole list. Sadly I see that GB decks will "die" by the end of this year, if not sooner. I say this not becasue of the Rescue Cat/ Cold Wave ban, but just becasue GB's are getting kinda old. It's also ironic that both GB's and X-Sabers with this deck list both have Rescue Cat and Cold Wave in most decks.

I personally see Dark Hole and Magician of Faith as LOL's for Konami. (Kinda like the limited Monster Reborn). Then again, Dark Hole is easily countered by Starlight Road, but I don't know about MoF. What is also up with Skill Drain and Ultimate Offering? First, they're semi-limited, then they aren't? IF this list is real. The things I didn't expect were Caius, Treeborn Frog, Dark Hole, Foolish Burial, Burial from a Different Dimension and Gladiator Beast War Chariot. The things that should be on there are Miracle Fusion, Trishula and Dimensional Prison. I don't mind Chariot semi'd; I was going to replace 1 with Effect Veiler anyway.

I seriously doubt substitoad will be banned, maybe limited but banned!?! I also don't expect magician of faith or dark hole to become limited, or icarus semi'd. And why would they limit Caius, he might be the best Monarch and splashable in a lot of decks, but why limit him and not semi.

Seems like they're plannig to hit a lot of decks: Infernities (Launcher and Archfiend), blackwings (Whirlwind and icarus), x-Sabers and Gladiator Beasts (Cold wave and Rescue cat). frog OTK (with Substitoad) and even Monarchs (Caius and treeborn). And what really suprises me, is United we Stand. In our swarming meta, I don't want to run in three UwS.

Well, there ARE resons why these cards are going where they're unconfirmed to be.

  • Rescue Cat: Has about 2-3 decks involving it in the current meta
  • Substitoad: Now you can't mill your whole deck; saw this coming
  • Caius The Shadow Monarch: Too splashable. Removes any threats (preferably anything with over 2400 ATK or more)
  • Treeborn Frog: Easiest way to get out a Monarch. No doubt Frognarchs won't be in Tier 1 anymore
  • Infernity Launcher: Makes too many loops. No doubt Infernities won't be in Tier 1 anymore
  • Destiny Draw: Destiny Hero variants are pretty much out of the meta; saw this coming.
  • Machina Gearframe: Searches Fortress, although the Machina Gadget deck isn't hit much at all besides this, so it'll probably stay in Tier 1
  • Snipe Hunter: I honestly didn't see this coming, but at the same time, I did see this coming. It's the EXACT same feeling as to when D.D. Warrior Lady and Breaker slipped out
  • Dark Grepher: Works well with DAD, Infernities, and certain Destiny Heroes. No need to ban DAD if this happens
  • Ultimate Offering. Double Summon is faster, and without a cost, except you CANNOT Set with Double Summon. But still, usually a dead draw
  • United We Stand: Equip Spells are dieing slowly
  • Skill Drain: Vanilla Decks are definitely NOT in the meta, so it would be a loss for yourself too, which is fair.

Is that this list is FAAAAAAAKE. I honestly don't see a reason for blackwings to be getting hit this hard by the banlist...and the cards they're hitting don't even make sense. Sirroco wouldn't even be tounched, and bringing Black Whirlwind down to 1 makes blackwings slower than they already are now with it at 2. Also, I don't believe that Konami would hit Infernity Archfiend ever. it would just kill the Infernity archetype before the OCG ever get Infernity Barrier. Bottomless going to 1? I don't think so. Although limiting sirocco seems unlikely, imiting inf archfiend & launcher is 1 of the most obvious things ever. i dont know a lot of ppl that use 3 dark grepher, well 2 in a vayu turbo, so it isn't the worst thing that could happen. This will kill whats left of tele-dad,but putting destiny draw at 2 will bring it back 2 life, not 2 mention foolish goin to 2(wich putting there the best). Its weird i havent seen the fortress there, or any LS stuff. The problem begins with the lady & the beast, both as broken as old. btw: now1 here is a troll, but some1 who says some1 is. This is sounds ok. What needs to be hit got hit. However, why is Monster Reborn at 1, MST at 2, Dark Hole at 1 and Black Rose Dragon at 3???????!!!!!!! Also, with the reprint of Starlight Road, I can confidently say this:

That's not fair!

HOW THE HELL CAN THE PUT BLACK WHIRLWIND AND SIROCCO A 1 EACH??? That destroys the my Blackwing deck, and to top it off they didn't even put Gale back to 2 or something. Oh this sucka I can already see I'm not going to be playing this game much in until the next abn list comes out. I'm pretty sure the reason that Whirlwind was put at 1 was because Blackwings did very,very good in the OCG from what I've seen. Not that I agree with it either, but Hey, at least your Blackwings have access to 3 Black Rose Dragon and Monster Reborn so I'd kind of think of it as a healthy trade. Goblinpunch787

Rescue Cat Banned?!

With the recent release of the new Duelist Revolution cards, you would think Rescue Kitty wouldn't be banned due to Pineapple Cat decks. Rescue Cat may be the new trump card in Meta decks, but couldn't they just have limited other cards; i.e. Faultroll & Darksoul. To top that off, they brought back Dark Hole & Monster Reborn, scrapped Heavy Storm & Brain Control. What is Konami thinking? VolticBicorn (talk • contribs) 13:07, August 18 2010 (UTC)
