Design
Appearance
Cocytus was serpentine-like and had multiple horns shaped like a crown.
Personality
Cocytus was a violent and fearsome spirit. Upon being summoned by Crowley, it immediately attacked and acted like any wild beast.
Abilities
Cocytus was capable of handling Endymion, Rilliona, and Crowley together when they were caught off-guard. It was able to unleash a deadly fire breath and proved to be very durable, handling the combined magical power of both Endymion and Rilliona without taking any damage.
When summoned to another world, it relied on magical power to sustain itself. As such, when Korozo absorbed that magical power, it disappeared.
Biography
Aleister Crowley noticed unusual behavior from magic power, which he understood to have flown into his world from another and traced its source to a dried-up spring. Crowley attempted to contain the magic power with his magical circle, but inadvertently caused it to fuse and summon Cocytus.[1]
Crowley was delighted that the appearance of Cocytus supported his theories on magic power flowing from other worlds and the ability to summon spirits with it. However, his companions were more concerned by the unfriendly nature of Cocytus, who proceeded to attack them. Endymion and Rilliona attempted to fight back, but their magic did not affect Cocytus. Korozo then absorbed all the magic power present, causing Cocytus to disappear.[1]
