• This card was known as "Maldición del Dragón" and "Hechizo del Dragón" in the Anime's Spanish version.

Miscellaneous

• This monster's attack is known as Hell Flame in the Anime's Japanese version & Manga and Dragon Flame in the Anime's English version and Japanese version.

Duelist Kingdom

• When Yugi duels with Weevil Underwood, Yami Yugi equips this monster with "Burning Land" to burn away the forest field and reduce the DEF of Weevil's "Cocoon of Evolution" to the original state then fuses it and "Gaia the Fierce Knight" via "Polymerization" to create "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

• When Yugi duels with Mako Tsunami, Yami Yugi again equips this monster with "Burning Land" to destroy Mako's WATER monsters ("Great White Terror", "Fiend Kraken", "Jellyfish" and "Kairyu-Shin"), winning Yugi the duel.

• When Yugi duels against Kaiba's Imposter (either Ventriloquist of the Dead in the manga or Ghost Kaiba in the anime), Yami Yugi summons this monster in Defense Position but "Kaiba" forces this card into Attack Position via "Defense Paralysis" then it gets destroyed by the Imposter's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".

• When Yugi duels against PaniK, Yami Yugi summons this monster in Defense Position. Several turns later, PaniK's "King of Yamimakai" tries to destroy this monster but attacks and destroys PaniK's "Reaper of the Cards" (trapped earlier by Yugi's "Spellbinding Circle") because the light from the trap draws the attack of PaniK's "King of Yamimakai". On the next turn, Yugi fuses it and "Gaia the Fierce Knight" via "Polymerization" to create "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

• When Yugi has his rematch against Seto Kaiba, Yami Yugi has this monster destroy Kaiba's "Ryu-Kishin Powered" then Kaiba's "Swordstalker" (who powers up by his own effect) attacks this monster but Yami Yugi uses "Monster Replace" to return this card to his hand and summon "Dark Magician" in its place. After Yugi's "Dark Magician" destroys Kaiba's "Swordstalker", Yugi summons this card back to the Field. On the next turn, this monster gets destroyed when the attack of "Dark Magician" bounces off of Kaiba's "Ancient Lamp" and hits this card instead.

• When Yugi duels against Joey Wheeler, Yami Yugi summons this monster then fuses it and "Gaia the Fierce Knight" via "Polymerization" to create "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

• When Yugi has his final duel against Maximillion Pegasus, Yugi uses this card. After Pegasus brought their duel into the Shadow Realm, Yugi Muto summons this monster but his mind was starting to weaken from the stress of dueling while in the Shadow Realm so Yami Yugi takes over then has this monster attack Pegasus' "Dark-Eyes Illusionist" which triggers the effect of "Dark-Eyes Illusionist" of rendering this monster incapable of attacking. Later, Pegasus' "Relinquished" absorbs this monster then uses it as a shield and is destroyed when Yugi's "Dark Magician" attacks "Relinquished" as the latter uses this monster to take the hit instead.

• While Shadi is wandering though Yugi's mind, Yugi Muto and Shadi see this monster within a Stone Slab while wandering through Yami Yugi's mind within the Millennium Puzzle.

• During the virtual duel against the Big Five, Yami Yugi summons this monster along with Seto Kaiba's "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", Joey Wheeler's "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" and Mai Valentine's "Harpie's Pet Dragon" since only Dragon-type cards could attack in the final level against the Big Five's "Mythic Dragon". Later, Yugi tributes it and "Gaia the Fierce Knight" via "Black Luster Ritual" to ritual summon "Black Luster Soldier".

Battle City

• When Yugi duels with Bandit Keith (under Marik Ishtar's control), Yugi Muto summons this monster then fuses it and "Gaia the Fierce Knight" via "Polymerization" to form "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

• When Yugi duels with Johnny Steps, Yami Yugi summons this monster to destroy Johnny's "Water Omotics". Later, it is destroyed when it attacks Johnny's "Musician King" equipped with "Metalmorph".

Virtual World

• When Yugi and his friends encounter Gozaburo Kaiba's chess-like monsters, Yugi Muto summons this monster to fight and destroy several of Gozaburo's monsters as it destroys the "Lizard Soldier" that was about to attack Serenity Wheeler and is later destroyed by Gozaburo's "Cosmo Queen".

Waking the Dragons

• When Yugi duels against Weevil Underwood (under Dartz's influence), this card is briefly seen when Yami Yugi fuses it and "Gaia the Fierce Knight" via "Polymerization" to create "Gaia the Dragon Champion".

Grand Championship

• When Yugi duels against Leon von Schroeder, Yami Yugi sends this card along with "Kuriboh", "Old Vindictive Magician", "Giant Soldier of Stone" and "Big Shield Gardna" from his Deck to the Graveyard to activate the effect of "Royal Straight Slasher".

Dawn of the Duel

• When Yugi Muto duels against Pharaoh Atem (Yami Yugi), Yugi summons this monster after tributing "Watapon". After Yugi's "Summoned Skull" attacks Atem's "Big Shield Gardna" with the attack failing due to the DEF of "Big Shield Gardna" being higher but activates the effect of "Big Shield Gardna" of being switched into Attack Position, Yugi has this monster destroy "Big Shield Gardna". On the next turn, Yugi switches this monster to Defense Position then Atem's "Dark Magician" equipped with "Book of Secret Arts" destroys this monster.
