The following effects are not on the cards, so instead are the effects on the Anime:
- You can activate this effect during yours or your opponent's turns. Tribute two monsters other than Obelisk on your side of the field. Until after Obelisk attacks, its ATK becomes "∞" (infinite)
- In addition, all monsters existed on your opponent's side of the field, as well as the opponent's Life Points, receive Battle Damage of an amount equal to the current ATK of Obelisk.
- The Japanese card had this effect:
- You can activate this effect during your Main Phase or your opponent's Battle Phase. Tribute two monsters other than Obelisk on your side of the field. Destroy all monsters on your opponent's side of the field and inflict 4000 points of damage to your opponent's life points. This card cannot attack during the turn you use this effect
- In Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards and Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction, Obelisk had the same effect except that two tributes were not needed to use it.
Obelisk, if taken at just face value, it a 4000 ATK, 4000 DEF Normal Monster Card.
