- This card can be searched via "Sangan", "Magician's Circle", "Mother Grizzly" and "Chaos-End Master".
- This card is ideal in any Beatdown Deck.
- Use this card to help turn an opponent's "Lava Golem" into a convenient 3000ATK monster for yourself without the effect damage and stop your opponent from performing tributes.
- Normal Summon "Fusilier Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast", then use "Double Summon". Tribute "Fusilier Dragon, the Dual-Mode Beast" for this card's Tribute Summon, and it will have 2800 ATK. Or you can use "Beast King Barbaros" to give this card an ATK of 3000.
- This card is effectively "Mask of Restrict" in monster form combined with "Maju Garzett", making it an excellent card to use against an opponent using Monarchs or any other high-level cards.
- Summon a "Ultimate Obedient Fiend" and Tribute him for a massive 3500 "Mask of Restrict" beatstick.
- This card can be retrieved from the graveyard by playing "Salvage".
- Use this card to easily Synchro Summon high level monsters.
- In fact, this card is perfect for the effect of "Turbo Synchron" + "Urgent Tuning".
- Any low attack cards like this one can be given to your opponent with "Creature Swap". Then attack the "Fog King"control by your opponent for massive battle damage.
- This is a great monster to use with "Diffusion Wave-Motion" since it can attain an enormous ATK by its effect.
- If you use "Soul Exchange", you can tribute any strong monster your opponent has for this card. It will clear your opponents field of a monster, help you summon a powerful "Fog King", and stops your opponent from being able to use cards like "Magical Dimension".
- If you use more than one "Soul Exchange", you can empty more of your opponents field, and make the "Fog King" even stronger.
- Even if you tribute two Level 4 monsters with 1900+ ATK, your "Fog King" will have at least 3800 ATK.
- If you have "Gorz the Emissary of Darkness" and "Fog King" in your hand and an empty field, you should wait to take a hit, Special Summon "Gorz the Emissary of Darkness" and one "Emissary Of Darkness" token, and tribute summon the "Fog King" next turn. Based on the hit you took, the token tribute can be extremely strong, along with Gorz, and the "Fog King" can become extremely powerful in just two turns.
- Better yet. Normal Summon "Fog King" without Tribute then overlay "Gorz" and "Fog King" to Xyz Summon "Number 11: Big Eye" or "Number 7: Lucky Straight" (depending if you can get out yet another Level 7).
- Combine this card with "Secret Village of the Spellcasters", "Royal Decree" and "Destiny Hero - Plasma" to create a virtual lockdown.
- Use this card in a Tricky Turbo Deck. After Special Summoning "The Tricky" and another monster, you can tribute them both for this one. Not only will "Fog King" have very high ATK, but he and "The Tricky" are both Spellcasters, allowing you to support them both very easily.
- This card is a nightmare for Hieratic decks which rely on tributing dragons and monsters. Combine with "Archlord Kristya" to prevent Xyz summon and shut down completely.
- You can summon Rocket Arrow Express via it's effect and tribute it for your "Fog King" for a 5000 ATK
Traditional Format
- This card can be searched via "Last Will" and "Witch of the Black Forest".
- If your opponent summons a "Grinder Golem" or "Lava Golem" to your side of the field, Tribute it to get a 3000 ATK monster (more if you already have a monster on the field). This will save a lot of hassle, especially if they're planning on using a combo like "Ring of Destruction" to inflict massive damage.
