* In the German dub of the anime, during the first appearance of this card, its attack was called "'''Geschmolzener Feuerball'''" ("''Molten Fireball''") despite firing multiple fireballs. Ironicially, in all later appearances, the attack name is changed to "'''Geschmolzene Feuerbälle'''" ("''Molten Fireball'''s'''''") despite firing only a single fireball.

  • The Bandai version of this card is Level 7 and has 2600 DEF, whereas the Konami version is Level 9 and has 2500 DEF.
  • The "B." in this card's English name stands for "Black", in the same way as "Red-Eyes B. Dragon".
  • "Red Dragon Archfiend" ("Red Demon's Dragon") bears a Japanese name similar to "B. Skull Dragon" (Black Demon's Dragon). Both cards are demonic dragons that are summoned from the Extra Deck.
  • This monster has an upgraded counterpart in "Archfiend Black Skull Dragon", which explicitly references this card's original name in its own (its Japanese name is "Fiend Dragon – Black Demon’s Dragon"). The monsters have the same Level, ATK, DEF, Type, and Attribute and can even be summoned using the same Fusion Material Monsters. However, "Archfiend Black Skull Dragon" can be summoned with ANY "Red-Eyes" normal monster + ANY Level 6 "Archfiend" normal monster, and has Monster effects.
  • This card is tied with "Archfiend Black Skull Dragon" for the second-highest ATK of all "Red-Eyes" monsters, with "Meteor B. Dragon" having the highest.
  • This card's naming moniker is shared with "Fiend Skull Dragon". Both cards are also Fusion Monsters whose Fusion Material Monsters entail a Dragon-Type monster and a Fiend-Type monster.
  • In the German dub of the anime, during the first appearance of this card, its attack was called "Geschmolzener Feuerball" ("Molten Fireball") despite firing multiple fireballs. Ironicially, in all later appearances, the attack name is changed to "Geschmolzene Feuerbälle" ("Molten Fireballs") despite firing only a single fireball.
