- This card has a retrained counterpart: "Archfiend Black Skull Dragon".
- It can be Fusion Summoned by using "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" and "Summoned Skull" as Fusion Materials, and shares this card's naming scheme, Attribute, Level, Type, ATK and DEF.
- This card has a retrained Rush Duel counterpart: "Black Dragon Skull Archfiend".
