"Egg" (エッ E— [Note 1]) is a group of monsters in Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duelists of the Roses which are supported by "Insect Imitation".
"Insect Imitation", known as "Hatching" in the Japanese version, has the effect of transforming an "Egg" monster into a random monster with the specified characteristics, giving the impression of the egg hatching.

- ↑ While most of the cards in this archetype have the full term 「エッグ」 (Eggu) in their Japanese names, "Ryu-Ran" and "Manga Ryu-Ran" instead have 「エッガー」 (Eggā), hence the Japanese name 「エッ」. Because 「エッ」 ends with a sokuon, and there is no standard way to romanize an ending sokuon, the romanization E— is used.
