Forum:Thoughts on Duelist Revolution?

Now that the new set is out in OCG, what are your thoughts on Duelist Revolution? Personally, I don't think it's that much of a "revolution". What new type of cards did they introduce this time, Fusion monsters that require Synchro monsters, "whoopie". Also I'm not a big beast guy so I don't so much like how the only characters they used where Yusei and Team Unicorn, that's it. The only reason it exists is because they decided to pad out the length of the Unicorn duels and delay the Accel Synchros for the next booster. And another thing, why Amasonesses? I thought no one cared about them. Also no new Koa'kis, no Spiders, no Blackwing, and no Infernitys. Why no Infernitys, just because Kalin didn't appear? That didn't stop you from releasing BWs Gust and Breeze, Konami. Although atmitidly the new Scraps look kind of cool, Wattchimera, Elecure, and Elecannon can find some use in my thunder/Batteryman deck, and the "Synchro Fusions" have some cool effects (at least Quites can be of some use in my Infernity deck). Hopefully Starstrike Blast will be the real Revolution. Final Grade from me: D+ --Azure Knight-Zeo 04:03, April 29, 2010 (UTC)

They didn't help several of the more competative archtypes because they were already competative. Infernity are already concidered META once The Shining Darkness is reliced. Spiders are more of just a character archtype so never expect that archtype to get any more support. Blackwings are already getting some support anyway, they don't need support in ever single pack. I am happy Amazoness is getting some more support, back when they came out they were concidered useless (except Amazoness Chain Master and Amazoness Swords Woman). Besides, we can't jusdge it yet, there are still the extra 19 extra TCG cards and the sneak preview card. --RyuPhalian 06:09, April 29, 2010 (UTC)

IMO, nothing too spectacular. Still amuses me that the impressive Synchro-Fusions can still be thwarted by the simple Compulsory Evacuation Device. Scraps and Elecs are looking somewhat promising though. Wonder what Starstrike Blast will present us with. --Gadjiltron 13:32, April 29, 2010 (UTC)

GOD i live all that Beast support!--Helix-king 14:50, April 29, 2010 (UTC)

Personally, I really like the new packs. Naturia monsters look really fun and there are a lot of cards with cool effects. Im not much of a competitive duelist. I play with my brother and his friend and we dont run any meta decks, so i could care less about how much support each archetype gets. Since we've all been playing for a while, we have a lot of the old amazonnesses and gravekeepers etc so i like how they are adding new support. It keeps the game fun! especially with all those cheap decks out there now like lightsworn, glad beasts, etc.148.100.210.20 15:10, April 29, 2010 (UTC)

Agreed, Naturia are already comming to the TCG not only through The Shining Darkness but also Hidden Arsenal 2. They are a great Lockdown Archetype. "Ally of Justice" are a force to be reconed with and could possibally become Meta very quickly. Watt seems to be a great lock down which would be fun yet challanging. Scrap can be extreamly fast if you know how to use them. For those new Beast types, I am already starting the deck list, and so far it abuses Thunder Unicorn so much it's broke. Also, Fusion Monsters which require Synchro Monsters (or as I like to call "Synchro Fusion Monsters") can come in handy, espcially for Psychic types which need a little support. Blackwings don't need anymore support right now, they have a new level 3 tuner, Blackwing - Shura the Blue Flame, and Black Whirlwind, enough said. Also, with new Fusion support can even help out older decks which focus around Fusion Summon such as "Elemental Heros", Neo-Spacians, Cyber Dragon decks. And why don't Infernity get anymore support? Because they are able to swarm like crazy, abuse Infernity Archfiend like it's their job, they are already concidered Meta. Spiders already have a lot of support, they can use classic Insect support, Underground Arachnid, Earthbound Immortal Uru, they are pretty broke in my oppinion. All because an Archetype dosn't seem powerful at first dosn't mean it's weak, some are just harder to read than others. --RyuPhalian 16:23, April 29, 2010 (UTC)

Makes me want a beast deck. 71.201.69.96 22:45, April 29, 2010 (UTC)
