8103: Effect Monster > Genesis Dragon
- Sending one Dragon-Type monster from your Hand to the Graveyard is a cost to activate the effect of "Genesis Dragon" which adds a Dragon-Type monster from the Graveyard to your Hand. This effect targets one Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard.
2X[edit]
8129: Can the effect of "" be Chained to the activation of a Normal Spell Card?
- If you activate a card that does not remain on the field after activation like a Normal/Quickplay Spell Card or a Normal Trap Card, then you cannot Chain the effect of "[[:]]" and target the activated card. However, cards like "Swords of Revealing Light" and "Blast with Chain" remain on the field after activation, so you may target them with the effect of "[[:]]". If "Swords of Revealing Light" is returned to your hand, then all the opponent's monster are flipped face-up, but the effect of not being able to attack is not applied.
4X[edit]
- When the effect of "Genesis Dragon" returns all Dragon-Type monsters in your Graveyard to your Deck, "Genesis Dragon" is also returned to the Deck.
- If "Genesis Dragon" is equipped to a monster like "Relinquished" or "Destiny Hero - Plasma" and sent from the field to the Graveyard, then you can activate its which returns all Dragon-Type monsters from the Graveyard to the Deck.
- When you activate the effect of "Genesis Dragon" and send a Dragon-Type monster to the Graveyard, you can target the sent monster to return it to the hand. However, you cannot activate the effect of "Genesis Dragon" if there is no Dragon-Type monster in the Graveyard to return to your hand.
5X[edit]
- If you did not Normal Summon or Set during this turn because you could not - for example, "Hidden Armory" was activated - then it is still treated as you not Normal Summoning or Setting during this turn, so you can activate the effect of "Red-Eyes Wyvern" during the End Phase.
8159: What can the Turn Player do when "Obelisk the Tormentor" is successfully Tribute Summoned?
- When "Obelisk the Tormentor" or "The Winged Dragon of Ra" is successfully Tribute Summoned, neither player may activate the effects of Spell Cards, Trap Cards, or Effect Monsters. When "Obelisk the Tormentor" is successfully Summoned, its effect is applied nothing can be done. Afterwards, the Turn Player may Synchro Summon, etc. Also, for "The Winged Dragon of Ra", you may activate its effect when it is successfully Summoned.
6X[edit]
- If "Sangan" is Tributed for a Tribute Summon, then its effect activates "When the monster is successfully Tribute Summoned". However, the effects of Spell Cards, Trap Cards, and Effect Monsters do not activate when "Obelisk the Tormentor" or "The Winged Dragon of Ra" is successfully Tribute Summoned, so the effect of "Sangan" does not activate.
8164: For the effect of "DNA Surgery", can "Divine-Beast" be declared as a monster's Type?
- You can declare "Divine-Beast" for the effect of "DNA Surgery", since "Obelisk the Tormentor" and "The Winged Dragon of Ra" are Divine-Beast-Type monsters. In this case, all monsters on the field will be treated as Divine-Beast-Type monsters.
7X[edit]
- You cannot activate the effect of "Skilled Dark Magician" or "Skilled White Magician" if you have no "Dark Magician" or "Buster Blader" in your hand/Deck/Graveyard.
8X[edit]
8189: Can "Reasoning" be activated when the effect of "Vanity's Fiend" is being applied?
- If "Vanity's Fiend" or "Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo" is on the field, then "Reasoning" and "Monster Gate" cannot be activated.
9X[edit]
- The effect "Once per turn, if you remove a Spell Counter(s) from your side of the field to activate the effect of a card effect you control, you can remove the Spell Counters(s) from this card instead." of "Magical Citadel of Endymion" can only be used for costs. It cannot be used when an effect like "Mythical Beast Cerberus" removes Spell Counters.
8197: When do you choose the Spell Counter which will be removed by the effect of "Disenchanter"?
- The Spell Counter to be removed by the effect of "Disenchanter" is chosen at resolution.
8198: Can "Serial Spell" be chained to "Spell Power Grasp" which you can only activate one per turn?
- Even though only one "Spell Power Grasp" can be activated per turn, you can chain "Serial Spell" to "Spell Power Grasp". Both will resolve properly, so you place a Spell Counter and add a copy of "Spell Power Grasp to your hand, and then place another Spell Counter and add another copy of "Spell Power Grasp to your hand.
8199: Is it possible to remove a Spell Counter on the opponent's field with the effect of "Disenchanter"?
- With the effect of "Disenchanter", you can remove a Spell Counter from your opponent's field.
