Personality
Crowley is a young boy who has a cheery and bright outlook on life. Enjoying the use of magic, Crowley has an open mind of what magic can do, and what can be achieved with it compared to Endymion, who had a stricter view on magic. While Crowley can be somewhat rash and optimistic, especially when focused on his research or being excited at the thought of fighting powerful magic users, Spoon describes Crowley as one with no grudges against the world.
This outlook was caused by Crowley's relationship with his adoptive grandfather, a retired scholar who raised him, did not judge or shun Crowley for his magic, and advised Crowley that if magic users do good, then those with magic may be seen in better light. Crowley took this advice to heart, which inspired him to join the magic users of Graybeard later on in his life.
