Card Appearances:Magic Cylinder
Yu-Gi-Oh!
- This card's lore was: Activate only when your opponent's monster attacks while you control a Spellcaster-Type monster. Negate the attack and inflict damage to your opponent equal to the attacking monster's ATK.
- This card's effect in manga is "Activate only when your opponent's monster attacks while you control a Spellcaster-Type monster. Negate the attack, select and destroy 1 face-up monster on your opponent field with ATK less than original ATK of attacking monster."
- In episode 66, Yami Yugi plays this card against Strings. He activates it when "Dark Magician Girl" is on the field, using it and "Spellbinding Circle" to redirect the attack of "Slifer the Sky Dragon" back to it while it was weakened. Unfortunately the effect of "Jam Defender" activated, redirecting the strike to "Revival Jam".
- In episode 85 this card can be seen when Yugi is rebuilding his Deck.
- In episode 99 this card can be seen when Yugi is building his Virtual World Deck, though he does not select it.
- In episode 106, this card can be seen when Tristan Taylor is building his Virtual World Deck, though he does not select it.
- In episode 108, this card can be seen when Seto Kaiba is building his Virtual World Deck, though he does not select it.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monsters
- In episode 7, Yugi uses something similiar to this card to defeat Joey Wheeler
Yu-Gi-Oh! GX
- This card used its TCG/OCG effect.
- In episode 18, Syrus Truesdale uses this card against Dimitri. Syrus activates it from his hand via "Jetroid's" effect, deflecting the attack of "Ancient Gear Golem", winning Syrus the duel. Oddly, the effect of "Ancient Gear Golem" would usually prevent this.
- In episode 82, Bastion Misawa Set this card against Chazz Princeton, but he never activated it. Bastion could have won if he had played this card when "Combat Scissors Beetle" attacked "Plasma Warrior Eitom", however Sartorius mentally convinced him to not play it if he wished to join the Society and this ultimately made him choose not to activate this card to win the duel.
- In episode 84, Syrus has this card in his hand during his duel with a Slifer Red student during the Genex Tournament, and would have used it in a combo with "Jetroid" again, but his opponent then Summons "Jinzo" whose effect prevents Traps from being activated.
- In episode 157, this card can be seen among the the many stacks of "defective" cards stored in suitcases after Alexis Rhodes, Chazz Princeton, Syrus Truesdale and Tyranno Hassleberry gather them up.
- In episodes 168 and 179, this card can be seen in a display case among others as part of a replica of Yugi Muto's Deck.
- In episode 180, Yugi Muto uses this card in his Duel against Jaden Yuki. He uses it to negate the attack of Jaden Yuki's "Elemental Hero Magma Neos" and inflict the latter's ATK as damage to Jaden, but Jaden activates "Contact Out", defusing "Magma Neos". Since the latter left the field, this card is negated as it lost its original target.
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's
- In episode 101, Andre Sets this card in a flashback against an unknown opponent, but does not activate it. After the Duel, Jean noted if he had activated this card, he could have won. Jean then asked why Andre did not try to play it. Jean assumed that Andre had pity towards his opponent and that prevented Andre from playing the card. Jean then tells Andre if he wants to win a duel, then he should not let something like pitying his opponent hold him back.
