- This card can be searched by "Neptabyss, the Atlantean Prince", "Atlantean Marksman", "Atlantean Dragoons", "Deep Sea Diva", "Underworld Egg Clutch", "Ninjitsu Art of Super-Transformation", "Mother Grizzly", "Mermail Abysspike", "Big Whale", "Shark Cruiser", "Sphere of Chaos", "Serpentine Princess", "Vampire Dragon", "Rescue Ferret", "Sangan", "Witch of the Black Forest", and other generic searchers.
- If you have no Aqua, Fish, or Sea Serpent-Type monsters on the field, you can Normal Summon this card then use "Shark Stickers" to Special Summon itself so this monster will gain 800 ATK.
- At this point, since both are Level 3, you could also Xyz Summon using them.
- Normal Summon "Deep Sea Diva" to Special Summon this card and then Synchro Summon for a Level 5 monster.
- Or, you can Normal Summon "Deep Sea Diva" to Special Summon "Spined Gillman while this card is already face-up, increasing its ATK by another 400 points.

Since "Marksman" is already face-up, "Atlantean Attack Squad" will be at 2200 ATK already, after which you may overlay into "Number 17: Leviathan Dragon", destroying an opponent's face-down card with "Marksman's" effect that triggers when detached. If you have Normal Summoned "Deep Sea Diva" that turn, you can also Synchro Summon a level 8 monster such as "Scrap Dragon" or "Stardust Dragon".
