- This cards first word in its name is also the first word for the first test in Death-T which is known as Stardust Shootout in the First series anime and the beginning of the manga.
- This card was designed by Kazuki Takahashi himself.
- This is the Cover Card of The Duelist Genesis.
- This card has the same ATK as "Dark Magician" and "Elemental Hero Neos", the Signature Cards of Yugi Muto and Jaden Yuki respectively (in the GX manga, Jaden's signature card is "Elemental Hero Terra Firma", which also has the same ATK and DEF as "Neos"). Oddly, "Dark Magician" is a Spellcaster-Type with the Attribute of DARK and "Elemental Hero Neos" is a Warrior-Type with the Attribute of LIGHT and they are both Level 7 while "Stardust Dragon" is Level 8 and a Dragon-Type Synchro Monster with the Attribute of WIND and the first to have an Effect (Second if you count "Terra Firma" from the manga).
- This monster appears to be the antithesis of "Red Dragon Archfiend". Their poses mirror each other and have opposite color schemes. Also their effects oppose each other as well. "Red Dragon Archfiend's" effect focuses on destroying opposing monsters, as this card focuses on protecting monsters from being destroyed.
- This card has an "Assault Mode", "Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode".
- This card has a "Majestic" form, "Majestic Star Dragon".
- This card has a "Malefic" version, "Malefic Stardust Dragon".
- This card has an "Accel Synchro" counterpart, "Shooting Star Dragon".
- With this information, "Stardust Dragon" has the most counterparts of all the "Signer Dragons", with a total of four, an "Assault Mode", a "Majestic form", a "Malefic" version and an "Accel Synchro" counterpart. "Red Dragon Archfiend" comes in a close second having three similar forms, excluding a "Malefic" version.
- "Stardust Dragon" and all of its counterparts have colored orbs on their bodies that look similar to the ones on Aliens' bodies.
- This is the only card to be printed in all rarities excluding Rare and Common (excluding that in OCG was released a Normal Parallel Rare print of this card).
- "Stardust Dragon" appears in the artwork of "Shooting Star", "Stardust Flash", "Starlight Road", "Rage Resynchro", "Miracle Synchro Fusion", "A Leap to Awakening" and "Deceive Synchro (text only)".
- This card now has the most support cards of all the Signer Dragons (with or without anime cards).
- The tuner monster "Debris Dragon" seems to be a younger version of this card.
- This card can negate three of the other Signer Dragons, "Black Rose Dragon", "Red Dragon Archfiend" and "Ancient Fairy Dragon".
- This card, "Ancient Fairy Dragon" and "Black-Winged Dragon" are the only Signer Dragons shown to be Synchro Summoned by someone other than their respective Signers, Black-Winged Dragon being used by Robert Pearson and Crow Hogan and "Stardust" being used by Jack Atlas, Yusei Fudo and Akiza Izinski.
- This card is the only Synchro Monster with two Summon chants in the Japanese anime because while Aki used Yusei's chant when she Synchro Summoned "Stardust", when Jack used it, he made up a different one.
- With the release of Gold Series 3, "Stardust Dragon" is the first Signer Dragon to be printed as a Gold Ultra Rare.
- This Signer Dragon's abilities represents Yusei's willingness to risk his own life, whether it be for his friends, his loved ones, or strangers in need.
