Sphere (スフィア Sufia) is an archetype of cards that include 「スフィア」 in their Japanese card names.
In the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX manga, Atticus Rhodes uses WIND Winged Beast-Type "Sphere" monsters. His monsters focus on treating the opponent's monsters as equip cards to gain ATK, as seen with "Transforming Sphere" and the his trump card, "The Atmosphere".
Since cards like "Air Sphere" and "Synthesize Sphere" support monsters with 「スフィア」 in their Japanese names, even cards like "Thought Ruler Archfiend" that are neither WIND nor Winged Beast are treated as members of this archetype.
In the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime, V uses "Number 9: Canopy Star - Dyson Sphere" in episodes 55 and 56.
