Anime[edit]

  • In episode 12, Shark uses this card during his Tag Duel with Yuma against Scorch and Chills. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Big Jaws" and "Needle Sunfish". Shark then activates this card's effect to detach "Needle Sunfish" and negate the effects of "Number 61: Volcasaurus" until the End Phase. The effect of "Needle Sunfish" then activates, decreasing the ATK of "Volcasaurus" by 500. This card then attacks "Volcasaurus", but Chills activates "Compensation Exchange" to negate the attack and take damage equal to the ATK of "Volcasaurus". Later Scorch activates the effect of "Volcasaurus" to destroy this card and inflict its ATK as damage to Shark, but Yuma activates "Damage Diet" to halve all effect damage he and Shark take this turn. Shark then activates "Icy Crevasse" to destroy "Volcasaurus" and inflict its original ATK as damage to Scorch (as he's its owner), but Chills activates "Forced Change" to change the target to "Number 19: Freezerdon", destroying the latter monster and defeating Chills. Later Yuma activates "Monster Reborn" to revive this card. He then activates "Armored Xyz" to equip "Number 39: Utopia" to this card and make this card's name and ATK the same as "Utopia".
