• You can equip a Trap Card to an opponent's monster, but only if the Trap Card does not specify "your monster". So, you can equip "Metalmorph" to an opponent's monster because it does not specify otherwise, but you cannot equip "Blast with Chain" nor "Kunai with Chain" to an opponent's monster because these cards specify "your monster".

• Normally, for Normal Trap Cards and Counter Trap Cards, after they are activated and resolve they are destroyed and sent to the Graveyard. Continuous Trap Cards with the "Continuous" icon and Trap Cards like "Metalmorph" and "Blast with Chain" which equip themselves to monsters remain face-up on the field after activation.
  • The following cards from before Magic Ruler was released on April 20, 2000 do not have the "Continuous" icon, but during the Duel they are still treated as Continuous Trap Cards: "Ultimate Offering", "Royal Decree", "Magical Thorn", "Robbin' Goblin", "Dragon Capture Jar", and "Call of Darkness".

• Former translation; possible reversal?
  Except for Continuous Trap Cards (Trap Cards which contain the "Continuous" icon), all Trap Cards are destroyed by game mechanics after activation. All Continuous Trap Cards cards released after April 20th 2000, starting with Magic Ruler, will contain this icon.
  • Errata: Before Magic Ruler, Continuous Trap Cards did not contain the "Continuous" icon. The following cards (all of which released before Magic Ruler) do not have the icon, but are still Continuous Trap Cards and remain face-up on the field: "Ultimate Offering" (EX, B3), "Royal Decree" (B5), "Magical Thorn" (B6), "Robbin' Goblin" (V7), "Dragon Capture Jar" (EX, SB), and "Call of Darkness" (V5).

• "At the end of the Damage Step", as mentioned in the text of cards like "Legendary Jujitsu Master", occurs at the same time as "when the monster which is destroyed by battle is sent to the Graveyard". Or, if "Macro Cosmos" or "Banisher of the Radiance" is active, then this occurs at the same time as "when the monster which is destroyed by battle is removed from play".
