Using the effect of "Escher the Frost Vassal" to special summon itself, he then tributes it to summon this monster and destroy his two of his opponents spell and trap cards "Phantom Knights' Spear" and "The Phantom Knights of Shadow Veil". As he tribute summoned he then uses "Tribute Carnival" to tribute this card and tribute summon "Mobius the Mega Monarch" from his hand, whose effect activates since he tributed a WATER monster.
