- This is the cover card of Starter Deck 2017 and Starter Deck: Link Strike, and is also one of the cover cards of Duel Power, Prismatic Art Collection, and 25th Anniversary Tin: Dueling Heroes.
- This monster appears in the artworks of "Code Hack", "Cynet Codec", "Cynet Conflict", "Cynet Rollback", "Decode Destruction", "Dimension Link", "Limit Code", "Link Restart", "Forge a New Future", "Recoded Alive", and "You and A.I.".
- This was the first Link Monster revealed in the OCG/TCG, as well as the first (and last) Link Monster to be Summoned in the Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS anime.
- This card is one of Playmaker's signature cards in the Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS anime, along with "Firewall Dragon". After "Firewall Dragon" was Forbidden, this card was treated as Playmaker's primary signature card.
- This card and "Firewall Dragon" are the first ace monsters of a spin-off protagonist whose Type are neither Dragon nor Warrior. They also mark the first time a protagonist used a newly created Type (in this case, Cyberse).
- This card can be viewed as a personification of Yusaku, because it gains power by using others to achieve its goals, similar to how Yusaku viewed Ai as a tool for his ends.
- Furthermore, its effect that requires sacrificing a monster it points to is similar to how Yusaku would not have hesitated to delete Ai if Number 10 did not stop his destruction of LINK VRAINS.
- This card has the following counterparts:
- A retrained counterpart: "Decode Talker Extended".
- An "@Ignister" counterpart: "Dark Templar @Ignister".
- A combined form with "Salamangreat Heatleo": "Decode Talker Heatsoul".
- An upgraded form: "Accesscode Talker".
- Three downgraded forms: "Code Talker", "Link Decoder", and "Micro Coder".
- A combined form with "Firewall Dragon": "Protectcode Talker".
- 5 "Code Talker" counterparts:
