Season 1

  • In episode 1, Jaden Yuki uses this card during his Duel against Vellian Crowler. After he activates this card, Jaden uses "Elemental HERO Flame Wingman" to attack "Ancient Gear Golem". Due to this card's effect, "Elemental HERO Flame Wingman" gained 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. "Flame Wingman" then destroys "Ancient Gear Golem". "Flame Wingman" then inflicts damage to Crowler equal to the ATK of "Ancient Gear Golem", winning Jaden the Duel.
  • In episode 2, this card appears in a flashback Chazz Princeton has when he notes to his friends that Jaden is the one who defeated Crowler in the Entrance Exam.
  • In episode 10, this card can be seen in Jaden's hand during his Tag Duel with Syrus Truesdale against Para and Dox. In the next episode, Jaden activates this card which destroys "Fusion Gate". "Elemental HERO Tempest" then attacks "Dark Guardian". Due to this card's effect, "Tempest" gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. Jaden then sends Syrus's set card in order to prevent "Tempest" from being destroyed, however "Dark Guardian" is also not destroyed due to its own effect. Dox then activates "One-on-One Fight" to force the monsters with the highest ATK to battle this turn. "Dark Guardian" then attacks "Tempest", but Jaden sends this card to the Graveyard in order to prevent "Tempest" from being destroyed, however he still takes Battle Damage from the attack.
  • In episode 19, Jaden uses this card during his Duel against Dimitri while the latter was using Yugi Muto's deck. He activates this card after he summons "Elemental HERO Bubbleman". Later "Dark Magician Girl" (whose ATK was 2300 due to it being powered up by its own effect) attacks "Bubbleman". Due to this card's effect, the ATK of "Bubbleman" increases by 1000 during damage calculation only. "Dark Magician Girl" then destroys "Bubbleman". Later "Flame Wingman" attacks "Dark Magician of Chaos". Due to this card's effect, the ATK of "Flame Wingman" increases by 1000 during damage calculation only. "Flame Wingman" then destroys "Dark Magician of Chaos". "Flame Wingman" then inflicts damage to Dimitri equal to the ATK of "Dark Magician of Chaos". Later "Flame Wingman" attacks "Dark Magician Girl". Due to this card's effect, "Flame Wingman" gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. "Flame Wingman" then destroys "Dark Magician Girl". "Flame Wingman" then inflicts damage to Dimitri equal to the ATK of "Dark Magician Girl". Later "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning" attacks "Elemental HERO Avian". Due to this card's effect, the ATK of "Avian" increases by 1000 during damage calculation only. "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning" then destroys "Avian". Later "Flame Wingman" attacks "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning". Due to this card's effect, the ATK of "Flame Wingman" increases by 1000 during damage calculation only. "Flame Wingman" then destroys "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning". "Flame Wingman" then inflicts damage to Dimitri equal to the ATK of "Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning", winning Jaden the Duel.
  • In episode 21, this card can be seen when Jaden is rebuilding his Deck.
    • It is revealed in the above-mentioned episode that Gerard had this card in his Deck when he used to Duel and love it. Gerard saw this card while Jaden was rebuilding his Deck and picked it up. He then remembered a very devastating loss he had that involved using this card. Gerard was using this card against an unknown opponent, but using this card lead to Gerard's loss. Since then he lost his love for Dueling and blamed his loss on this card. Jaden after a while asked Gerard if he liked this card, however Gerard claimed that he doesn't like Dueling or anything.
  • In episode 22, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Bastion Misawa. He activates this card after he Special Summons "Elemental HERO Bladedge" via "Bubble Shuffle". "Bladedge" then attacks "Water Dragon". Due to this card's effect, "Bladedge" gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. "Bladedge" then destroys "Water Dragon". "Bladedge" then inflicts piercing damage to Bastion. Bastion then activates "Last Magnet" to equip the latter onto "Bladedge" and decrease its ATK by 800. Bastion then activates the last effect of "Water Dragon" to Special Summon two "Hydrogeddons" and one "Oxygeddon" from his Graveyard. "Elemental HERO Clayman" then attacks "Oxygeddon". Due to this card's effect, "Clayman" gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. "Clayman" then destroys "Oxygeddon". Later "Swordsman of Doom Lithmus" (whose ATK was 3000 due to its own effect) attacks "Bladedge". Due to this card's effect, "Bladedge" gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. "Swordsman of Doom Lithmus" then destroys "Bladedge". "Hyozanryu" then attacks "Clayman". Due to this card's effect, "Clayman" gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. "Hyozanryu" then destroys "Clayman". Bastion then activates "A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon" to return "Hyozanryu" to his hand and destroy this card.
    • During the Duel, Gerard watches the Duel and sees Jaden play this card as well as seeing Jaden and Bastion having fun while they were Dueling. This is enough for Gerard to regain his love for dueling again and he decides to put his past behind him. After the Duel, he reveals to Alexis Rhodes that he has decided that he wants to help find the missing students from the Abandoned Dorm rather than get information.
    • This card appears in four flashbacks Gerard has. The first flashback was when he remembered Jaden being very nice to him. The second flashback was when he recognized this card. The third is when he remembered having fun in a Duel. The fourth flashback was when he remembered losing against his unknown opponent (which was Seto Kaiba).
  • In episode 23, this card can be seen when Jaden rebuilds his Deck.
  • In episode 30, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Nightshroud. He activates this card after he summons "Elemental HERO Wildedge". "Wildedge" then attacks the "Half Token". Due to the effect of this card, "Wildedge" gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. "Wildedge" then destroys the token. "Wildedge" then attacks "Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon". Due to the effect of this card, "Wildedge" gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. "Wildedge" then destroys "Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon". "Wildedge" then attacks and destroys "Spear Dragon", winning Jaden the Duel.
  • In episode 34, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Kaibaman. He activates this card after he summons "Elemental HERO Bladedge". "Elemental HERO Bladedge" then attacks one of Kaibman's "Blue-Eyes White Dragons". Due to this card's effect, the ATK of "Bladedge" increases by 1000 during damage calculation only. "Bladedge" then destroys "Blue-Eyes White Dragon". This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
  • In episode 48, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Kagemaru. He activates this card after he summons "Tempest". "Tempest" then attacks "Uria, Lord of Searing Flames" (whose ATK was 3000 due to its own effect). Due to this card's effect, "Tempest" gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. "Tempest" then destroys "Uria". Kagemaru then discards "Chain Burst" to revive "Uria". The ATK of "Uria" then became 4000 due to its effect. "Uria" then attacks "Tempest". Due to the effect of this card, "Tempest" gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. Jaden then sends his set "Transcendent Wings" to the Graveyard in order to prevent "Tempest" from being destroyed in battle this turn, however Jaden still takes Battle Damage. Jaden then activates "H - Heated Heart" to increase the ATK of "Tempest" by 500 until the End Phase. "Tempest" then attacks "Uria". Due to this card's effect, "Tempest" gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. "Tempest" then destroys "Uria". After Kagemaru activates "Lost Paradise", this card is destroyed.
  • In episode 50, this card appears in a series of flashbacks Chumley Huffington has when he sees his friends cheering him on and remembers all of the previous Duels his friends were involved in. Chumley then notes that there was something that all of his friends had taught him this year.

Season 2

  • In episode 55, Jaden uses this card during his duel against Tyranno Hassleberry. This card's activation destroys "Jurassic World". Jade then activates "Polymerization" to Fusion Summon "Elemental HERO Wild Wingman". Jaden then activates the effect of "Wild Wingman" to destroy "Amber Pitfall". Jaden then switches "Bladedge" to Attack Position and uses "Wild Wingman" to attack "Dark Tyranno". Due to this card's effect, "Wild Wingman" gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. "Wild Wingman" then destroys "Dark Tyranno". This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
  • In episode 62, this card appears in one of the many flashback bubbles Jaden sees in as he travels into Neo Space.
  • In episode 66, this card appears in a flashback Jaden has when he sees Wheeler as Dr. Crowler and Wheeler's furniture as "Ancient Gear Golem" which makes Jaden remember his Duel against Crowler.
    • This card is also seen in a flashback Jaden has when he sees Wheeler as Bastion which makes him remember his Duel against Bastion.
  • In episode 74, Jaden uses this card in his duel with Princess Rose. Its effect activated when "Avian" equipped with "Power Charger" attacked one of the three "Des Frog". This card played no other part in the duel after that.
  • In episode 89, this card appears in a flashback Atticus has when he notes to Zane in his mind that he was once possessed by Nightshroud and trapped in the depths of darkness until he was rescued by Jaden and his friends.

Season 4

  • Jaden uses this card in his second duel against Dr. Crowler. It is activated from Jaden's Deck via "Demise of the Land". Jaden would then have his "Flame Wingman" attack "Ancient Gear Golem". This card then increased "Flame Wingman"'s ATK by 1000 during Damage Calculation only. "Flame Wingman" then destroyed "Ancient Gear Golem". "Flame Wingman" then inflicted damage to Crowler equal to the ATK of "Ancient Gear Golem", winning Jaden the Duel.
  • During Jaden's second duel against Sartorius, Jaden is forced to send this card from the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard via the effect of "Sowing of the Fool".
