First Series

Yu-Gi-Oh!

  • In episode 1, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Seto Kaiba. After seeing his hand, Yugi concludes that the pieces are the parts of Exodia and he could win if he could get all five pieces. On the final turn, Yugi draws "Exodia the Forbidden One", As Yugi now had all five pieces in his hand, he summons "Exodia" who destroys all three "Blue-Eyes White Dragons" and wins Yugi the Duel.
  • In episode 3, Weevil Underwood asked Yugi if he could look at his Exodia pieces. Yugi does so, but right after seeing the Exodia cards, Weevil throws Yugi's Exodia cards overboard to insure that Yugi can't use them to help him win his Duels in Duelist Kingdom. Despite Joey Wheeler jumping in to try and save the cards, he only recovers two pieces.
  • In episode 55, Rare Hunter used this card in his Duel against Joey. After he got all five piece of Exodia into his hand, he won the Duel through an Automatic Win. After the Duel, he revealed to Joey he had 3 complete sets of Exodia to insure him of his victories.
  • In episode 56, Rare Hunter could sensing this card on top of his deck during his second turn in the duel against Yami Yugi, while his hand held the rest of the "Forbidden One" cards. In the next episode, Rare Hunter was prepared to draw this card, but Yugi activates "Time Seal" to prevent Rare Hunter from conducting his Draw Phase. Next Yami activates "Lightforce Sword" to banish "Right Arm of the Forbidden One" from the hand. Rare Hunter drew this card on his Draw Phase, but since he didn't have all five pieces, he couldn't get an automatic win.
  • In episode 74, this card appears within a series of flashbacks that show Yugi's first two Battle City Duels.
  • In episode 99, this card appears when Yami Yugi was building his Virtual World Deck before his Duel with Gansley.
  • In episode 108, this card appears in a flashback explained by Leichter when he reminds Seto that his birthday gift from Gozaburo Kaiba was where all the mistakes made by Seto himself began.
  • In episode 109, this card appears in a flashback Leichter has when he explains to Seto that his treachery began when Gozaburo gave him a large amount of dollars to test Seto's business skills.
  • In episode 120, Gozaburo first revealed this card along with the set of the "Forbidden One" via the effect of "Painful Choice", which Seto had to pick "Right Arm of the Forbidden One" to resolved it effect. This card was discarding to the Graveyard afterward.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX

  • In episode 127, Marcel had this card in his hand along with other Limbs of "Forbidden One" when Adrian grabbed the former's hand.
  • In episode 144, Adrian had this card along with other three limbs.
  • In episode 150, this card was remaining in the Graveyard and was planning to return to Adrian's hand via the effect of "Backup Soldier". That was thwarted by possessed Jesse.

Manga

  • In chapter 38, Yami Yugi held this card in his hand and was puzzled by it as an useless card. However, he figured it out as a Puzzle Part, like his Millennium Puzzle, and drew "Exodia the Forbidden One" to defeating Kaiba in the duel.
