Phoenix Whirlwind, known as Wheel of Fortune in the Japanese version, is Jack Atlas' Duel Runner. It is a hybrid Duel Runner, so it has a detachable Duel Disk that can be used for regular ground Duels. Other than Turbo Dueling, Jack makes use of the Wheel of the Fortune as a means of transportation.

History

In the Japanese anime, Jack stole the first Duel Wheel (Duel Runner) built by Yusei Fudo and used it to venture into Neo Domino City (New Domino City). That got ruined in an accident and Jack now uses the Wheel of Fortune. In the English dub of the anime both Duel Runners are said to be the same.

Phoenix Whirlwind, upgraded for the WRGP.

During the Fortune Cup, the Wheel of Fortune got damaged after Yusei and Jack's Turbo Duel. However later under Rex Goodwin's orders it gets repaired and given modifications. Though Jack suspects that this occured only because of the Dark Signers upcoming threat and that Goodwin also might be aware of how powerful their Duel Runners could be too.

Before the World Riding Duel Grand Prix, Jack got the Phoenix Whirlwind upgraded giving it a slight visual change. Using Ener-D rotary, its acceleration was increased by 150%. It had the program Yusei and Bruno developed installed and was given some new parts.
