"The Metropolis of Despair - Heartland" is the one-hundredth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V anime. It first aired in Japan as a one hour special with episode 99 on April 3, 2016.
Yuya reaches a new place... The city in the Xyz Dimension called "Heartland", the hometown of Yuto and Shay. Being separated from Zuzu once more, Yuya wanders along the dilapidated streets with Sylvio and Gong. Before them, Duel Academy soldiers appear. At the same time, a Duelist wielding a dragon appears to battle.

At the start of the Duel, the Field Spell Card "Cross Over" is activated, as per the rules of an Action Duel. It will allow the players to use Action Cards, but they may only have one in their hand at a time.
Only a small portion of the Duel is shown. At that point, the Duel Academy Duelists control no cards. Yuya has activated "Smile World" and has "Timegazer Magician" and "Stargazer Magician" in his Pendulum Zones. Yuya, Gong, and Sylvio appear to perform a Pendulum Summon of 3 monsters together. "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon" (2500/2000), "Superheavy Samurai Warlord Susanowo" (2400/3800), and "Abyss Actor - Superstar" (2500/1800) then go on to defeat their opponents.
