A Spellstone Counter, known as Magical Stone Counter (せきカウンター, Maseki Kauntā) in Japan, is a type of counter used exclusively by a select few cards.

In their initial introduction in Starstrike Blast, they were only generated by the activations of monster effects. In Duelist Alliance, "Curse of the Shadow Prison" was introduced, which generates Spellstone Counters by sending "Shaddoll" monsters to the Graveyard via card effects. Among these few cards, they are used for diverse effects.
