Personality
Sora is shown to be a cunning and ruthless individual who will do anything to win, as shown when he made up a sister who was kidnapped by Reiji. He is also somewhat of a sadist, setting the solid vision system to triple the pain someone feels when they take damage in an attempt to hurt Yuya. He also hates when people show mercy to him. This is shown when Yuya tried to reduce Sora's life points to exactly 0 so as to not cause him more pain than he has to. When this happened, Sora was furious that Yuya was attempting to show mercy and used a trap card to double the damage (which thanks to Sora's tampering with the system effectively increased it by a factor of 6).
Biography
Once the Leo Corporation staff detected the presence of "Phantom", Reiji sent Sora, Shingo Sawatari, and Shun Kurosaki to pursue him in helicopters. Reiji ordered #1, Shingo, and #2, Shun to capture "Phantom" in a pincer attack, while #3, Sora, would capture him from the sky, with Sora mentally protesting that he wanted to fight too. Noticing the number of agents pursuing "Phantom", Sora wondered what Reiji was thinking, sending that many people after a mere hacker.[1]
He asked the computer about Yuya, only to be denied. Sora, knowing the room needed to be unlocked by Reiji's retinal pattern and fingerprints, prepared them, and hacked into the room, only to be caught by Reiji, who informed him that he actually got in because he let Sora in. Sora replied that he could not concentrate while he had questions, so Reiji answered the question that the computer could not. Sora ask Reiji about Yuya, Pendulum Summoning and Reiji himself. Reiji answered the first, but did not answer the last two. Reiji chided Sora for asking questions about himself; if Sora wanted to know, he should ask Yuya. Sora left, but Reiji gave him three original cards as compensation for Sora's attempt of hacking into the mother computer's room.
Sora leaked information to lure out "Phantom", and succeeded in doing so. He started to Duel Yuya, despite not knowing anything about the dragon. During the Duel, with tears in his eyes, Sora explained that he had to win. Much to Yuya and Shun's collective shock, Reiji held Sora's hospitalized sister hostage, with the intent on killing her should Sora lose. Emotionally torn by this, Yuya refused to activate his "Enter-Mate Show Up" Trap Card to save himself. At this point, Yuri took over the Duel. [2]
The reason being was Yuri had seen through Sora's lie, and was infuriated someone had hurt Yuya emotionally. Sora took on a dark personality and gleefully admitted he did lie. Using his own Pendulum Monsters, Sora reduces Yuri and Yuya's life points to 100, however he had also altered the effects the holograms have on players. Yuri had been inflicted with so much pain, he could barely stand, forcing Yuya to take over. [3]
Deck
Like his anime counterpart, Sora uses a "Fluffal"/"Edge Imp" Deck focused on Fusion Summon tactics.
