"Sora's Hospitality!" (素良のおもてなし! Sora no Omotenashi!) is the eighth chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V manga.

This chapter was first printed in Japanese in the May 2016 issue of V Jump, released on March 21, 2016, and in English in the March 21, 2016 issue of Weekly Shonen Jump.

Sora traps Yuya, forcing him to Duel. However, as the Duel progresses, Sora tells Yuya about his sick little sister, making Yuya hesitate to Duel for real.

After receiving a clue on Genesis Omega Dragon, Yuya Sakaki and Yuzu Hiiragi have stealthily entered Physical Information Systems, a Leo Corporation subsidiary, to track the dato to its source. Inside one of the laboratories, they don't find the card that can end the world, but instead Sora Shiunin, the third member of Leo Corporation's task force. Sora doesn't feel like wasting time on starting their inevitable Duel, as there are questions he wants Yuya to answer. Yuya inquires about Genesis Omega Dragon, but Sora quickly states that he doesn't have a clue what that is.

At the Leo Corporation tower, Reiji Akaba, watching Yuya and Sora from his video screen, tells the other members of his task force, Shingo Sawatari and Shun Kurosaki, that Sora has successfully lured Yuya out of hiding. Shun boldly claims that Sora could never defeat Yuya alone, and suggests they all head out as well. Shingo wonders exactly who Shun is rooting for here, and Shun says that he alone is the only one who can defeat Yuya, which Shingo claims is his line. Shun doubts that, but Shingo ignores that insult for the moment and tells Reiji that they're heading out to capture Yuya. Reiji forbids them to go, even though Yuya's surrounded, as they can all watch something interesting happen from where they are.

Back at the building, Yuya advises Yuzu to stand back a bit, as she could get in the way of the Action Duel. Yuzu calls him crazy for wanting to continue this Duel, even though he knows its a trap. Yuya notes that they're most likely already surrounded, but opening a Action Field will make it harder to capture them for the time being. Yuzu wonders about after the Duel, and Yuya only says that they'll figure something out by then, to Yuzu's anger. Sora commends Yuya for already trying to plan his escape, but states that he has to survive the Duel first. With a snap of his finger, the Action Field Candy Park opens, and the Duel starts.

Sora takes the first turn. Yuya notices an Action Card nearby, on top of a floating ballon in this candy-themed field. He tries to hop over to it, but the balloon pops, and he falls. Sora, already knowing where the booby-trapped balloons are, reaches the card and claims it. Sora continues his turn, Summoning Fluffal Bear. It can be used as a substitute for any monster listed on a Frightfur monster. Sora activates Polymerization, fusing Fluffal Bear with the Edge Imp Sabres in his hand to Fusion Summon Frightfur Bear. He ends his turn there.

Yuya takes his turn, and rather than hopping across balloons to reach the next Action Card, pulls his magically extending magician's baton from his pocket, and rises to the Action Card above him. However, stepping on the nearest balloon to the Action Card, he triggers another booby trap, in which the balloon is actually explosive. Sora takes the second Action Card, warning Yuya to be careful of the worse traps. Yuya reappears behind Yuzu on the ground in a puff of smoke. He's confused though, as the impact from the explosion felt a bit more solid than usual. Yuya continues, even without the Action Card.

Yuya sets the Scale 2 Enter-Mate Ballad and the Scale 5 Enter-Mate Barracuda in his Pendulum Zones. With his Scale set, he can Pendulum Summon monsters from his hand or face-up Extra Deck from Level 3 to 4 at the same time. Yuya Pendulum Summons Enter-Mate Handsome Liger in Attack Position. Yuzu is suddenly quite interested in the direction this Duel has taken, and asks Yuya why he hadn't used these monsters sooner. Sora is also thrilled, but for being able to see Yuya's Pendulum Summon first-hand. He notes, however, that Handsome Liger can't beat Frightfur Bear, but Yuya tells him that the fun is only beginning.

Yuya attacks Frightfur Bear with Handsome Liger. At that moment, Yuya activates the effects of Ballad and Barracuda in his Pendulum Zones. Ballad's effect reduces Frightfur Bear's ATK by 600, while the effect of Barracuda doubles a single change in ATK or DEF. In total, Frightfur Bear loses 1200 ATK, down to 1000. Against Handsome Liger's 1800 ATK, Frightfur Bear is destroyed, and Sora's LP fall to 3200. In addition, when Handsome Liger destroys a monster by battle, Yuya can add a Level 5 or higher Pendulum Monster from his Deck to his hand. He chooses Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon. Yuya Sets a card face-down to end his turn.

Sora begins his turn, and moves to take the turn's Action Card. However, rather than risking another balloon trap, Yuya sends his faithful digital pigeon Poppo out to snag the Action Card for him, taking it before Sora. Sora continues his turn by activating Frightfur Reborn, allowing him to revive any Frightfur monster in his Graveyard. He chooses Frightfur Bear, and immediately goes on the offense against Handsome Liger. Yuto advises Yuya to activate his Set Enter-Mate Show Up, which would double Handsome Liger's ATK and destroy Frightfur Bear all over again. Yuya agrees and is about to activate his card, but at that moment, a photograph flutters down from the sky.

Grabbing it from the air, Yuya looks at the photo, which shows a young girl sitting in a hospital bed, with Sora beside her. Yuya questions if the girl is his little sister, and Sora suddenly seems to choke up. Shaking and nearly on the verge of tears, Sora admits that he does have a sick little sister, but she was taken hostage by Reiji Akaba in order to recruit Sora, and if he fails to capture Yuya, he'll have her killed. Yuya and Yuzu are horrified at this claim, and Sora desperately calls out to Yuya that he has to win this, tears streaming down his face. Yuya looks at his Trap again, considering his options.

At the Leo Corporation tower, Shun turns to Reiji and demands to know if Sora is telling the truth. Reiji says nothing. At the Duel, Yuya makes his decision: he won't activate his Trap. Sora apologizes for what he has to do and activates his Action Card Powerize, increasing his monster's ATK by 1000 during that battle only, to 3200. Handsome Liger is destroyed, and Yuya's LP fall to 2600. Sora also activates his Bear's effect, equipping Yuya's destroyed monster to it as an Equip Card that increases its ATK by 1000, increasing its ATK to 3200 again. Yuzu laments that bad things have to happen to monsters so good-looking. Sora Sets a card before ending his turn, and begs Yuya to forgive him, as Reiji has left him no choice.

At the tower, Shun declares that taking a hostage is inexcusable, and demands that Reiji confess the truth, so that Shun can dispense justice as needed. Shingo quietly points out that Shun himself has also taken a hostage before. Reiji continues to say nothing, but gives a pointed glare at Shun. At the Duel, Yuya is picking himself off the ground again, and a voice in his head chides him for being too soft. However, this voice isn't Yuto. The voice declares that this is a job best suited to him. In a flash, Yuya disappears, and is replaced by someone new.

Yuri says that a Fusion deck versus a Fusion deck seems most fitting. He also says that Sora has the stench of vulgar scum, and declares that he will be pitiless. Sora appeals to Yuri's sense of humanity by reminding him of his sick sister, but Yuri will hear nothing of it. He and his sister can go die, for all he cares.

Featured Duel: Yuya Sakaki vs. Sora Shiunin[edit]

At the start of the Duel, the Field Spell Card "Candy Park" is activated, as per the rules of an Action Duel.

Turn 1: Sora
Sora obtains an Action Card. He Normal Summons "Fluffal Bear" (0/0), and activates "Polymerization", fusing "Fluffal Bear" on his field, who can be used as any Fusion Material for a "Frightfur" monster, and "Edge Imp Sabres" in his hand to Fusion Summon "Frightfur Bear" (2200/1800).

Turn 2: Yuya
Sora obtains another Action Card. Yuya activates "Enter-Mate Ballad" (PS: 2) and "Enter-Mate Barracuda" (PS: 5) in his Pendulum Zones. Yuya Pendulum Summons "Enter-Mate Handsome Liger" (1800/400) in Attack Position. He attacks "Frightfur Bear" with "Handsome Liger", with the effects of "Ballad" and "Barracuda" activating; the Pendulum Effect of "Ballad" reduces the ATK of "Frightfur Bear" by 600, and the effect of "Barracuda" doubles that amount. ("Frightfur Bear": ATK 2200 → 1000). "Handsome Liger" destroys "Frightfur Bear" (Sora 4000 → 3200). Since "Handsome Liger" destroyed a monster by battle, its effect activates, allowing Yuya to add a Level 5 or higher Pendulum Monster from his Deck to his hand. He adds "Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon". Yuya Sets one card.

Turn 3: Sora
Yuya obtains an Action Card. Sora activates "Frightfur Reborn", Special Summoning "Frightfur Bear" back from his Graveyard. He attacks "Handsome Liger" with "Frightfur Bear", activating the Action Card "Powerize", increasing the latter's ATK by 1000 during the battle (ATK 2200 → 3200). At this point, Yuya has "Enter-Mate Show Up" face-down, but chose not to activate it because of Sora's history. "Handsome Liger" is destroyed (Yuya 4000 → 2600). As it destroyed a monster by battle, the effect of "Frightfur Bear" activates, equipping "Handsome Liger" to itself and boosting its ATK by 1000, to 3200. Sora Sets one card.

Turn 4: Yuya
At this point, Yuri switches places with Yuya.

Duel continues in the next Scale.
