Card Tips:Five-Headed Dragon
- The most useful strategy to use involves "Future Fusion".
- Once 5 Dragons are put in the Graveyard, you can use "Dragon's Mirror" to banish those same Dragons to Fusion Summon another copy of this card.
- Once you have used "Dragon's Mirror", you can also use "Return from the Different Dimension" or "Dimension Fusion" and "Polymerization" to summon a third copy of this card.
- Useful monsters to target include:
- "The White Stone of Legend": Can allow you to add a "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from your Deck to your hand.
- "Totem Dragon": In a full Dragon Deck, this monster can Special Summon itself from the Graveyard for the Tribute Summon of another Dragon-Type monster. (Try to use cards that prevent "Totem Dragon" from banishing itself, like "Imperial Iron Wall", if you're looking for continuous re-use.)
- "Red-Eyes" monsters: "Red-Eyes Wyvern" and "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" are the top choices, as during the End Phase, "Red-Eyes Wyvern" can banish itself to Special Summon "Darkness Metal Dragon", provided you did not Normal Summon that turn.
- Assuming that your opponent does not raise his Life Points higher than 9000 while yours are lower than theirs, this card can create an OTK with "Future Fusion", "Megamorph" and "Shooting Star Bow - Ceal".
- "Scapegoat" and "United We Stand" are also recommended for a larger ATK boost.
- "Royal Decree" can stop your opponent from using Traps that would otherwise wreck this combo, such as "Mirror Force", "Magic Cylinder" or "Sakuretsu Armor".
- "Dragon's Mirror", while targeting multiple copies of "Masked Dragon" or "Troop Dragon", is one of the easiest ways to summon this monster.
- "Vanguard of the Dragon" and "Spirit Ryu" are highly recommended for depositing Dragons into the Graveyard.
- "Scapegoat", "DNA Surgery" (while declaring Dragon) or "D. Tribe" and "Super Polymerization" can also summon this card with ease, but you may need to wait 1 turn before doing so.
- Alternatively, you could also "Fusion Summon" this card in an excellent combination with "Fusion Gate", any Dragon-Type Monster Cards (Preferably Level 4 or below), along with both "Scapegoat" and "DNA Surgery" (In order to make all Monster Cards become Dragon-Type), on your side of the Playing Field, in order to "Fusion Summon" the "Five-Headed Dragon" most effectively and efficiently asap, without any actual need for a "Polymerization" or any other a "Fusion-Type" Spell Cards at all. Another way to utilize and exploit these cards in exactly the same combo is to keep "Fusion Gate" on the playing field, but instead use "Kuriboh" and "Multiply" in the place of any Dragon-Type Monster Cards to do exactly the same thing likewise.
- Finally, with the "Fusion Gate" being active on your side of the playing field, you could also use "Return from the Different Dimension" or "Dimension Fusion", along with both "Card Destruction" and "Soul Release" being played at first in that precise order (that is, if and when you've got "Dragon"-"Type" "Fusion Material Monsters" beforehand, either in your "Hand", "Graveyard", or "Banished Zone" first), in order to "Fusion Summon" the "Five-Headed Dragon" most effectively and efficiently asap.
- "DNA Transplant" can change your opponents monster's attributes to something other than LIGHT or DIVINE, so that this monster cannot be destroyed by battle.
- A Deck including "Cyberdark" monsters can use "Fusion Guard" to dump this card into the Graveyard directly from the Extra Deck, giving "Cyberdark Dragon" a massive ATK boost.
- You can also splash "Dragunity" Dragon-Type monsters, which can be equipped to "Cyberdark" monsters from the hand using "Dragon Mastery".
- Use "King Dragun" or "Lord of D." to give this card protection against Spells and Traps that target.
- You can tribute this monster for "Great Maju Garzett" and give it 10,000 ATK.
- This card can be "Fusion Summon"ed using any 5 Dragons, regardless of level or attribute. The weakest and easiest ways to get of this type are the best to use with it.
- Although this card is immune from Battle Damage and cannot be destroyed by battle with a DARK, EARTH, WATER, FIRE or WIND monsters (Except from LIGHT monsters only, of course.), it's still vulnerable to Card Effects from Spell Cards, Trap Cards and Effect Monster Cards. Hence, you could use the area-type Spell Cards and Trap Cards in order to take down this scary monster, such as "Raigeki", "Dark Hole", "Final Destiny", "Magical Dimension", "Trap Hole", and "Bottomless Trap Hole". You could also use the effects of either "Dark Magician Knight", "XYZ-Dragon Cannon", or even "VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon", in order to remove that dangerous threat against you from the Playing Field, and allow you to lead an excellent "Direct Attack" against your foes, for a possible "OTK".
Traditional Format
- "Painful Choice" can easily deposit Dragons into your Graveyard for the usage of "Dragon's Mirror".
