Kurama (Capsule Monsters)

A flock of Kurama appeared as characters in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monsters anime. They are character versions of the "Kurama" card and reside in the mountain region of the World of Capsule Monsters.

History

Kurama infants

A Kurama heard Joey Wheeler calling for Yugi Muto in the mountains.[1] It swooped down, picked him up and flew away, eventually dropping him in a nest, built on a ledge jutting out of a cliff. Joey tried to act friendly towards the three infant Kurama in the nest, but one of them bit him in the hand as he tried to pet it. The infant Kurama then lunged at Joey, causing him to fall from the nest and land in another one with more infant Kurama. As the Kurama from the first nest followed Joey, he jumped from the second nest, landing in a third one. After jumping again, he discovered that there were no more ledges and a big drop. He caught onto a branch to save himself, inadvertently releasing Baby Dragon from its capsule.[2]

As Joey flew away on Baby Dragon's back, a flock of Kurama chased after him. Joey turned back to fight them, but discovered he was too greatly outnumbered and fled. The Kurama chased Joey through thin gaps between mountains and they dwindled in numbers as some of them crashed into obstacles. When Baby Dragon flew through a thin hole, too many Kurama tried going through at once causing them to get stuck and block others from getting through.[2]
