Series 9 is the collective name for the Core Boosters released from 2014 to 2017. It coincides with the run of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V anime, and as such primarily focuses on releasing cards that debutted in it. It also features several archetypes and cards that compose the third part of the storyline of the Duel Terminal world and, starting with Clash of Rebellions, debuts the "Dracoslayer" storyline.

This was the first series to include 12 sets (spanning 3 years), synchronizing it with the entire run of a single anime series.
