Lightning Overdrive |
Lightning Overdrive is a Core Booster in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game (OCG) and Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game (TCG). It is the 4th Core Booster of Series 11, following Blazing Vortex.
In North America, this set was originally scheduled to be released on May 14, 2021;[1] In Europe and Oceania, it was originally scheduled to be released on May 13, 2021.[2] However, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, its release was delayed until June 4, 2021 in North America[3] and June 3, 2021 in Europe and Oceania.[4][5] No official reason was provided for the delays.[6]

- In the OCG, the first print runs of Lightning Overdrive boxes include 1 Lightning Overdrive +1 Bonus Pack.
- The TCG version includes cards used by Akiza Izinski, Reiji Akaba, Yusaku Fujiki, and Spectre.
- Introduces new members/support for the "@Ignister", "A.I.", "Bujin", "Chaos", "Charmer", "Dogmatika", "Drytron", "Evil★Twin", "Familiar-Possessed", "Guardian", "Hole", "Ice Barrier", "Ki-sikil", "Laval", "Lil-la", "Live☆Twin", "Magistus", "Number", "Number C", "Number C39", "Paleozoic", "Plunder Patroll", "Possessed", "Rank-Up-Magic", "Rose", "Rose Dragon", "S-Force", "Saber", "Scrap", "Sphinx", "Springans", "Starry Knight", "Trap Hole", "Traptrix", "Tri-Brigade", "Utopia", "Utopic", and "ZW -" archetypes, as well as the Albaz Dragon, Book of, Dark counterpart, and Sky Scourge series.
- Introduces the "Amazement", "Attraction", and "Branded" archetypes.
- Introduces the first support for the "Rank-Down-Magic", "Zexal", and "ZS -" archetypes.

In the OCG, there are 5 cards per pack and 30 packs per box. The set contains 80 cards, or 125 cards in the Master Set:
- 1 Holographic Rare
- 8 Ultra Rares (also available as Ultimate Rare, Secret Rare, and Prismatic Secret Rare)
- 10 Super Rares (also available as Secret Rare and Prismatic Secret Rare)
- 18 Rares
- 44 Commons
In the TCG, there are 9 cards per pack and 24 packs per box. The set contains 101 cards:
