The following effects are not on the cards, so instead are the effects on the Anime:
- ATK X000/DEF X000. X stands for the number of cards that the controller of this card holds in his/her hand.
- Each time your opponent summons a monster to the field, if it is in Attack Position, decrease its ATK by 2000 points; if it is in Defense Position, decrease its DEF by 2000 points. If the ATK or DEF of that monster is reduced to 0 by this effect, destroy that monster.
- In Yu-Gi-Oh! Nightmare Troubadour, Slifer the Sky Dragon has these effects:
- It cannot be targeted by cards, but can still be destroyed by cards that don't target (i.e. Dark Hole/Raigeki)
- When your opponent successfully Normal Summons, or Flip Summons a Monster with 2000 DEF or less, it destroys that monsters.
- In Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards and Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction, Slifer had this effect:
- It is a 4000 ATK and DEF Points
- It gains 1500 ATK and DEF Points for every card in the owner's hand.
