• While this card's effect is powerful in any Deck, it can be absolutely devastating in a Deck dedicated to Spell Counter engines. "Arcanite Magician's" effect allows it to take Spell Counters off of any card, not just itself; use cards that instantly generate many Spell Counters, such as "Magical Citadel of Endymion", "Pitch-Black Power Stone" and "Magical Exemplar". That way, when "Arcanite Magician" is Summoned, it can take any number of counters off of other cards on your side of the field to sweep your opponent's field clean. While "Arcanite Magician/Assault Mode" is better suited for destroying an entire field, the effect of "Arcanite Magician" to take Spell Counters off of any card makes it better suited for maintenance, allowing you to destroy whatever cards your opponent plays during their turns and almost always having an open field to strike in.

• Don't forget that there is no limit to Spell Counters that can be placed on this card, but it doesn't gain them normally, so if you use the effects of cards like "Apprentice Magician" or "Spell Power Grasp" you can place Spell Counters on this card to increase its ATK.

• If you plan to Summon "Arcanite Magician/Assault Mode", use the effect of the "Arcanite Magician" you are going to Tribute to destroy cards so you can make the most of the Spell Counters, and preserve the counters on "Arcanite Magician/Assault Mode" for later.

• One of "Arcanite Magician's" other useful features is that he only has 400 ATK as soon as it is Synchro Summoned to the Field. Because its ATK boost is due to his effect, and happens after it is Synchro Summoned, it is immune to "Bottomless Trap Hole".

• Use "Debris Dragon" to Special Summon this card from the GY and Synchro Summon "Star Eater".

• Use "De-Synchro" to return this card to the Extra Deck after using all its Spell Counters, and Synchro Summon this card again for more destruction or another Level 7 Synchro Monster.

• "Arcane Apprentice" is a good Tuner to use as it can search "Assault Mode Activate" to be activated later.

• Use "Synchro Fusionist" as one of the non-Tuner Synchro Materials to search "Miracle Synchro Fusion" (or "Super Polymerization" in a Spellcaster mirror match) to enable Fusion Summoning "Supreme Arcanite Magician".

Synchro Summoning this card

• Use "Instant Fusion" to Special Summon "Musician King" to use with a Level 2 Tuner of your choice.

• Special Summon "The Tricky" from your hand by discarding "Plaguespreader Zombie" or "The Fabled Cerburrel" to Synchro Summon this card without using your Normal Summon.
  • "Plaguespreader Zombie" can also help return "Arcanite Magician/Assault Mode" to the Deck if needed.

• "Spellbook of Life" can Special Summon a Spellcaster monster from your GY with a modified Level to accommodate whichever Tuner you have available.

• "Magical Exemplar" can easily Special Summon an appropriate Tuner if you have enough Spell Counters on it.
  • "Spell Power Grasp" or "Spell Power Mastery" can immediately give "Magical Exemplar" the Spell Counters it needs to summon a Level 3 Tuner to tune with itself.
  • Alternatively, "Synchro Boost" will increase its Level and give it enough Spell Counters to summon a Level 2 Tuner.

• Use "Mathematician" to send "Felis, Lightsworn Archer" to the GY and Special Summon it.

• Use "Summoner Monk" to Special Summon "Rescue Cat", and Tribute it to Special Summon "X-Saber Airbellum" and another Level 3 Beast (possibly a second "Airbellum" for another Synchro Summon).

Traditional Format

• This card works well with "Tempest Magician". By discarding cards to place Spell Counters you can easily boost this card's ATK considerably. You can also use the Spell Counters for this card's effect of destroying your opponent's cards or "Tempest Magician's" effect of inflicting damage.
