Monster appearances

• In episode 113, Jack Atlas used this card in his Ground Duel against the Familiar of Red Nova. He Synchro Summons this card by Double Tuning "Red Dragon Archfiend" with "Creation Resonator" and "Attack Gainer". This card then gains 500 ATK for each Tuner Monster in Jack's Graveyard. Since Jack had 4 Tuner Monsters in his Graveyard(because "Extra Veiler" is a Tuner Monster in the anime), this card gained 2000 ATK. This card then attacks and destroys "Abyss Ruler Mictlancoatl", winning Jack the Duel.
  • Later as Yusei Fudo and Jack headed back to Neo Domino City, they take out "Shooting Star Dragon" and this card respectively. The two of them wonder if they must use Clear Mind and Blazing Soul to defeat the Three Pure Nobles.

• In episode 125, Jack used this card in his Turbo Duel against Dragan. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Red Dragon Archfiend" (whose Level was reduced by 1 due to it being affected by "Descending Lost Star" at the timing) with "Barrier Resonator" and "Top Runner". Since there are two Tuners in Jack's Graveyard, this card gains 1000 ATK. This card then attacks "Thor, Lord of the Aesir", but Dragan activates "Raging Sacred Curse" to reduce this card's ATK and DEF by 2000. Dragan then activates "Solemn Authority" to prevent "Thor" from being affected by card effects for two turns. Jack then activates "Burning Rebirth" to Tribute this card and Special Summon "Red Dragon Archfiend" from the Graveyard as well as equip it with "Burning Rebirth". Jack then activates the second effect of "Burning Rebirth", sending "Trap Eater" from his hand to the Graveyard as well as sending "Burning Rebirth" to the Graveyard in order to Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. Since "Burning Rebirth" was removed from the field, "Red Dragon Archfiend" is destroyed. Since there are now three Tuners in Jack's Graveyard, this card gains 1500 ATK. This card then attacks and destroys "Thor", winning Jack the Duel. Due to the rulings of the WRGP, it immediately goes to Jack's End Phase. The last effect of "Thor" then activated, Special Summoning itself from the Graveyard as well as inflicting 800 damage to Jack. Dragan then passes the baton to Broder who proceeds in Dueling Jack. In the next episode, Broder activates the effect of "Thor", negating this card's effects for this turn and granting "Thor" this card's effects for one turn. This causes this card's ATK to go back to normal. "Thor" then attacks this card. Both monsters are then destroyed in a Double KO.

• In episode 130, this card appears in a flashback Leo has when he reveals to Carly that Jack and Yusei have obtained new powers for the battle against Yliaster.

• In episode 131, Jack used this card in his Turbo Duel against Lester. He Synchro Summons this card by double tuning "Red Dragon Archfiend" with "Trust Guardian" and "Red Nova". Since there are three Tuners in Jack's Graveyard, this card gains 1500 ATK. This card then attacks "Sky Core", but Lester activates "Twin Vortex" to destroy this card and "Sky Core", however this card can't be destroyed by Lester's card effects, so only "Sky Core" is destroyed. Since "Sky Core" was destroyed by a card effect, its effect activates, Special Summoning "Meklord Emperor Skiel", "Skiel Top", "Skiel Attack", "Skiel Guard", and "Skiel Carrier" onto Lester's side of the field. A replay occurs and Jack uses this card to attack "Meklord Emperor Skiel", but Lester activates the effect of "Skiel Guard" to negate the attack. Jack then activates "Power Pressure" to inflict 1000 damage to Lester. Lester then activates "Infinite Aura". Lester explains that "Infinite Aura" gains one Aura Counter for each 100 points of damage he took. Since Lester took 1000 damage, "Infinite Aura" gains 10 Aura Counters. On Lester's turn, he activates the effect of "Meklord Emperor Skiel" to equip itself with this card and gain ATK equal to this card's ATK, but Jack activates this card's effect to banish it until the End Phase and allow Jack to negate one attack this turn. This negates the effect of "Meklord Emperor Skiel" as it has now lost its original target. On the End Phase, this card returns to the field. This card then gains 1500 ATK since there are three Tuners in Jack's Graveyard. Jack then Normal Summons "Force Resonator". He then sends "Force Resonator" to the Graveyard to prevent Lester from activating any card effects that target this card when it attacks this turn. This card then gains 500 more ATK since another Tuner has been sent to Jack's Graveyard. This card then attacks "Meklord Emperor Skiel". Lester then activates "Infinite Prison", discarding "Skiel Carrier 5" to set "Sky Core" in his Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Spell Card. The attack continues, destroying "Meklord Emperor Skiel" and winning Jack the Duel. Since "Meklord Emperor Skiel" was destroyed, the other Skiel parts are destroyed too. "Infinite Aura" then gains 30 more Aura Counters since Lester took 3000 damage. Lester then passes the baton to Primo who proceeds in Dueling Jack. In the next episode, Primo summons "Meklord Emperor Wisel" and its respective Wisel parts via the effect of "Wise Core". Primo then activates the effect of "Meklord Emperor Wisel" to equip itself with this card, but Jack activates this card's effect to banish it until the End Phase and allow Jack to negate one attack. Primo then activates "Infinity Barrage" to inflict 400 damage to Jack for each monster he controls. Since Primo controls 5 monsters, Jack takes 2000 damage. At the End Phase, this card is Special Summoned back to the field. This card then attacks "Meklord Emperor Wisel", but Primo uses the effect of "Wisel Guard" to redirect the attack to it instead. Jack then activates "Burning Strike", equipping it to this card and granting it the ability to inflict piercing damage(Since this card has 5500 ATK and "Wisel Guard" has 1200 DEF, the damage will be enough to wipe out all of Primo's Life Points). Primo then activates "Wise G3" to send "Wisel Guard" to the Graveyard and Special Summon "Wisel Guard 3" in its place. A replay occurs and Jack uses this card to attack "Wisel Guard 3" instead. Due to the effect of "Wisel Guard 3", it is not destroyed, however this card then inflicts piercing damage to Primo. "Infinite Aura" then gains 35 counters since Primo took 3500 damage. Primo then activates "Echo Mirror" to draw one card and reveal it. If it's a monster, Jack will take damage equal to the monster's Level times 300. The card is revealed to be "Wisel Attack 3" and since it's Level 3, Jack takes 900 damage. On Jack's next turn, Yusei tells Jack to destroy "Infinite Aura". Jack then activates "Synchro Sonic" to destroy Spell/Trap cards on the field up to the number of Synchro Monsters he controls. Since he controls one, Jack can destroy one Spell/Trap and he chooses to destroy "Infinite Aura", however Primo activates "Infinity Guard Formation" to negate the effects of "Meklord Emperor Wisel" and its respective Wisel parts to negate the effect of "Synchro Sonic". This card then attacks and destroys "Meklord Emperor Wisel", winning Jack the Duel. "Infinite Aura" then gains 5 more Aura Counters since Primo took 500 damage. Since "Meklord Emperor Wisel" has been removed from the field, the other Wisel parts are destroyed too. Primo then activates the effect of "Infinite Prison", discarding "Wisel Attack 3" to place "Wise Core" in his Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Spell Card. Primo then passes the baton to Jakob who proceeds in Dueling Jack. Jakob then summons "Grand Core". He then activates "Explosive Blast" to destroy "Grand Core" and inflict 400 damage to Jack. The effect of "Grand Core" then activates, Special Summoning "Meklord Emperor Granel", "Granel Top", "Granel Attack", "Granel Guard", and "Granel Carrier". Due to the effect of "Meklord Emperor Granel", its ATK becomes equal to Jakob's Life Points which is 4000. Jakob then activates "Speed Spell - Take Over" to destroy "Infinite Aura" and gain 100 Life Points for each counter that was on it. Since "Infinite Aura" had 80 counters, Jakob gains 8000 Life Points. This makes the ATK of "Meklord Emperor Granel" 12000. "Meklord Emperor Granel" then attacks this card, but Jack activates this card's effect to banish it until the End Phase and allow Jack to negate one attack, however Jakob activates the effect of "Granel Top" to negate this card's effect until the End Phase. The attack continues, destroying this card and defeating Jack. Jakob then activates the effect of "Granel Attack", equipping this card to "Meklord Emperor Granel". Due to the effect of "Meklord Emperor Granel", it gains ATK equal to this card's ATK which in turn makes the ATK of "Meklord Emperor Granel" 15500. Jack then passes the baton to Crow Hogan who proceeds in Dueling Jakob. In the next episode, "Blackwing - Aurora the Northern Lights" (whose ATK and effects were the same as that of "Blackwing Armor Master" due to its own effect) attacks "Meklord Emperor Granel" (Crow intended to attack "Meklord Emperor Granel" with "Aurora the Northern Lights" which will allow Crow to place a Wedge Counter on "Meklord Emperor Granel". This will allow Crow to remove the counter and reduce the ATK of "Meklord Emperor Granel" to 0. This will activate the effect of the Steam Token which will banish "Meklord Emperor Granel" and get rid of the other Granel parts), but Jakob activates the effect of "Granel Guard", treating this card as an Attack Position monster in Jakob's Spell & Trap Card Zone until the end of the Damage Step and redirecting the attack to it. Due to the effect "Aurora the Northern Lights" got from "Blackwing Armor Master", it is not destroyed and Crow takes no Battle Damage. At the end of the Damage Step, this card becomes an Equip Card again, so "Aurora the Northern Lights" can't place a Wedge Counter on it. Jakob then activates the effect of "Speed World 2" to remove 10 Speed Counters and destroy "Aurora the Northern Lights". "Meklord Emperor Granel" attacks Crow directly, but Crow activates the effect of "Blackwing - Ghibli the Searing Wind", Special Summoning it from his hand. A replay occurs and Jakob uses "Meklord Emperor Granel" to attacks and destroy "Ghibli the Searing Wind". Crow then activates "Blackwing Revenge" to Special Summon two Blackwing - Black Crest Tokens. Crow then activates "Blackboost" to draw two cards. Jakob then activates the effect of "Granel Attack" to treat this card as an Attack Position monster in his Spell & Trap Card Zone during the Battle Phase only and give it the ability to inflict piercing damage during the Battle Phase. This card then attacks and destroys a Blackwing - Black Crest Token. This card then inflicts piercing damage to Crow. At the end of the Battle Phase, this card becomes an Equip Card again. Crow then Tributes the other Black Crest Token to summon "Blackwing - Hillen the Tengu-wind". Jakob then activates the effect of "Granel Attack" to treat this card as an Attack Position monster in his Spell & Trap Card Zone during the Battle Phase only and give it the ability to inflict piercing damage during the Battle Phase. This card then attacks and destroys "Hillen the Tengu-wind". This card then inflicts piercing damage to Crow. "Meklord Emperor Granel" then attacks Crow directly, defeating him. Crow then activates the effect of "Hillen the Tengu-wind", Special Summoning it and "Ghibli the Searing Wind" from the Graveyard. Crow then activates "Urgent Tuning" to allow him to tune "Blackwing - Ghibli the Searing Wind" with "Blackwing - Hillen the Tengu-wind" to Synchro Summon "Black-Winged Dragon". Due to the WRGP rulings, it immediately goes to Jakob's End Phase. This card then becomes an Equip Card again. Crow then passes the baton to Yusei Fudo who proceeds in Dueling Jakob. In the next episode, Yusei Accel Synchro Summons "Shooting Star Dragon". Yusei then activates the latter's effect to check the top five cards of his Deck and grant "Shooting Star Dragon" one attack for each Tuner he finds. Yusei finds five Tuners, so "Shooting Star Dragon" gains five attacks. "Shooting Star Dragon" then attacks "Granel Attack 3", but Jakob uses the effect of "Granel Guard" to treat this card as an Attack Position monster in his Spell & Trap Card Zone and redirect the attack to it instead. Yusei then activates "Synchro Striker Unit", equipping it to "Shooting Star Dragon" and increasing its ATK by 1000. Jakob then uses the effect of "Granel Carrier" to prevent this card from being destroyed, however he still takes Battle Damage from the attack. As Jakob took damage, the ATK of "Meklord Emperor Granel" decreases by 800. "Shooting Star Dragon" then attacks "Granel Attack 3" again, but Jakob uses the effect of "Granel Guard" to treat this card as an Attack Position monster in his Spell & Trap Card Zone and redirect the attack to it instead. "Shooting Star Dragon" then destroys this card. The ATK of "Meklord Emperor Granel" then decreases to 10400. Two episodes later, "Meklord Astro Mekanikle" (who had gained the effects of "Wisel Attack 5" through its own effect) attacks "Shooting Star Dragon", but Yusei activates "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" to negate the attack, however Aporia activates the effect "Mekanikle" got from "Wisel Attack 5", negating the activation of "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" and destroying it. Yusei then activates "Revenge Twin Soul", banishing this card and "Black-Winged Dragon" to increase the DEF of "Shooting Star Dragon" by the combined Levels of the banished monsters times 100 until the End Phase. Since the combined Levels of the banished monsters was 20, "Shooting Star Dragon" gains 2000 DEF. The attack fails. At the end of the Damage Step, the final effect of "Revenge Twin Soul" activates, which would destroy "Mekanikle", but Aporia activates one of "Mekanikle's" effects, banishing "Granel Carrier" from the Graveyard in order to prevent "Mekanikle" from being destroyed by the effect of "Revenge Twin Soul". At the End Phase, the effect of "Revenge Twin Soul" expires, returning the DEF of "Shooting Star Dragon" to 2500. Yusei later activates "Dimension Voyage" to Special Summon this card and "Black-Winged Dragon" from the Banished Zone at the cost of negating their effects and forbidding them from attacking. Yusei then switches "Shooting Star Dragon" to Attack Position. Yusei then activates "Trust Chain" to target "Shooting Star Dragon" for its effect and increase the ATK of "Shooting Star Dragon" by the ATK of all Synchro Monsters on the field. This raises the ATK of "Shooting Star Dragon" to 9600. "Shooting Star Dragon" then attacks "Mekanikle", but Aporia activates "Banishing Crime" to banish this card and "Black-Winged Dragon". This decreases the ATK of "Shooting Star Dragon" back to its original value. Yusei then destroys "Trust Chain" to activate its second effect, ending the Battle Phase. At the end of the Battle Phase, the second effect of "Banishing Crime" activates, returning this card and "Black-Winged Dragon" to the field. On Aporia's turn, he activates the effect of "Mekanikle" to equip itself with this card and increase its ATK by this card's ATK. Aporia then activates the effect of "Mekanikle" to send "Granel Top 5" from his hand to the Graveyard and grant "Mekanikle" the effects of "Granel Top 5" until the End Phase. Aporia then activates the effect "Mekanikle" got from "Granel Top 5", equipping itself with "Black-Winged Dragon" and increasing its ATK by the ATK of "Black-Winged Dragon". "Mekanikle" then attacks "Shooting Star Dragon", but Yusei activates the effect of "Guard Master" from his Graveyard, banishing "Guard Master" to switch "Shooting Star Dragon" into Defense Position and prevent it from being destroyed in battle this turn. The attack fails. At the End Phase, Aporia activates the last effect of "Mekanikle" to send this card to the Graveyard and inflict its ATK as damage to Yusei, but Yusei activates "Hardship", equipping it to "Shooting Star Dragon" in order to reduce the ATK and DEF of "Shooting Star Dragon" to 0 and reduce all effect damage he would take from the effect of "Mekanikle" to 0 this turn. Aporia then activates the last effect of "Mekanikle" to send "Black-Winged Dragon" to the Graveyard and inflict its ATK as damage to Yusei, but due to the effect of "Hardship", Yusei takes no damage. Aporia then activates "Infinite Feast" to take this card and "Black-Winged Dragon" from the Graveyard and equip them to "Mekanikle". After that is done, "Infinite Feast" inflicts 600 damage to Yusei for each time that a Synchro Monster got equipped onto a Meklord this turn while Aporia gains 600 Life Points. As a Synchro Monster got equipped onto a Meklord monster four times, Yusei takes 2400 damage. Yusei then activates the effect of "Hardship", sending it to the Graveyard to destroy "Shooting Star Dragon" as well as destroy all Equip Cards on the field. This reduces the ATK of "Mekanikle" back to 4000. Yusei then summons "Mystic Piper". Yusei then Tributes "Mystic Piper" to activate its effect, drawing one card. Since Yusei drew a monster ("Sonic Chick"), he reveals it to draw another card ("Graceful Revival"). Yusei then activates "Ghoul Summoner" to Special Summon "Black-Winged Dragon" from the Graveyard and equip "Ghoul Summoner" to "Black-Winged Dragon". Yusei then activates the last effect of "Ghoul Summoner" to discard "Sonic Chick" and Special Summon this card from the Graveyard as well as take damage equal to this card's ATK. Yusei then uses the effect of "Black-Winged Dragon" to nullify the damage and place one Black Feather Counter on "Black-Winged Dragon" as well as decrease "Black-Winged Dragon's" ATK by 700. Since there are two Tuners in Yusei's Graveyard, this card gains 1000 ATK. Yusei then activates the last effect of "Ghoul Summoner" to discard "Graceful Revival" and Special Summon "Shooting Star Dragon" from the Graveyard as well as take damage equal to the ATK of "Shooting Star Dragon". Yusei then uses the effect of "Black-Winged Dragon" to nullify the damage and place one Black Feather Counter on "Black-Winged Dragon" as well as decrease "Black-Winged Dragon's" ATK by 700.
  • In the third above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Crow has when he notes he could use the effect of "Hillen the Tengu-wind" to summon it and a Level 3 monster in his Graveyard when he takes at least 2000 Battle Damage. This would allow Crow to activate "Urgent Tuning" and Synchro Summon "Black-Winged Dragon" which could intercept the attack of "Meklord Emperor Granel". Crow notes that would be useless as "Granel Attack" will equip it to "Meklord Emperor Granel" once the latter destroys "Black-Winged Dragon". If that happens, Yusei will have to deal with "Meklord Emperor Granel" and two Synchro Monsters when Crow passes the baton to him.
  • In the third above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Crow has when he tells Jakob he won't let him provoke into summoning "Black-Winged Dragon" as he knows "Meklord Emperor Granel" will destroy it and Jakob will use the effect of "Granel Attack" to equip it to "Meklord Emperor Granel". If that happens Yusei will have to face two Synchro Monsters and "Meklord Emperor Granel".
  • In the third above-mentioned episode, this card appears in Crow's explanation when he tells Jakob that he and his friends will always fight alongside their Synchro Monsters.

• In Episode 133 and Episode 134, Jakob was able to use this card because his "Meklord Emperor Granel" absorbed this card. In the Duel, it was destroyed by Yusei and his "Shooting Star Dragon".

• In Episode 143, Jack used this monster against Aporia along with Leo and Luna.

• In Episode 153, Jack brings this monster out near the end, to combat Yusei. In the next episode, after it clashes with "Shooting Star Dragon" both are destroyed.

• This monster was first shown in the BELIEVE IN NEXUS intro, after that, it was also shown in Road to Tomorrow ~Going My Way!!~.

Monster trivia

• This monster faced most of the Meklords. In Episode 130 Jack used it against Meklord Emperor Skiel. In Episode 132, this card faced Meklord Emperor Wisel and Meklord Emperor Grannel. During the final WRGP Duel,Yusei used it against Meklord Astro Mekanikle. During final battle against Aporia along Leo and Luna, this card was used to destroy Meklord Astro Dragon Asterisk .
  • In the anime, this card's effect that removes it from play could also be chained to effects, explaining how it managed to evade from getting absorbed by the regular effect of the Meklords, until this effect was negated by Meklord Emperor Granel's Top.

• In the Japanese anime, while Summoning "Scar-Red Nova Dragon", Jack chants "The King and The Devil, here and now, shall become as one. A Raging Spirit! Lift up the very cries of Creation itself! Synchro Summon! Come forth, Scar-Red Nova Dragon!"

• This card's attack name is "Burning Soul" in the Japanese anime. In the English Dub its attack name is Blazing Soul Strike.
