Mysterious Labyrinth is a Selection Pack in the video game Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. It was released in-game on December 8, 2022.
Description
New archetypes have been released! "Labrynth," which deploys Normal Trap Cards, and "Runick," which relies on the effects of Quick-Play Spell Cards to banish cards from your opponent's Deck.
Other new cards to look out for include those for "Predaplants," which make use of Predator Counters, and "The Weather," which pelts monsters with Spell and Trap Card effects!Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle
A Level 8 Fiend-Type monster that is integral to the new "Labrynth" archetype.
It has three effects related to Normal Trap Cards. Firstly, it can prevent your opponent from chaining monster effects when one of your Normal Trap Cards is activated. Secondly, it allows you to return a Normal Trap Card from your Graveyard and Set it to your field. And finally, it lets you destroy a card in your opponent's hand or on their field when a monster leaves the field due to the effect of one of your Normal Trap Cards.
Starving Venom Predapower Fusion Dragon
A Level 10 Dragon-Type Fusion Monster that serves to strengthen "Predaplant" Decks.
Since the rules state that it is a "Predaplant" card, you can create combos using a variety of "Predaplant" support cards.
It's especially potent when paired with cards whose effects place Predator Counters on cards. When it negates the activation of a Spell Card, Trap Card, or monster effect, it Tributes 1 monster with a Predator Counter. Depending on the situation, a monster on your opponent's field can also be offered as Tribute, making this a monster to be reckoned with!
Hugin the Runick Wings
A Level 2 Fairy-Type Fusion Monster that plays a key role in the new "Runick" archetype.
When this monster is Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, you can discard a card from your hand and replace it with 1 "Runick" Field Spell Card from your Deck. Take the fight to the next level using the Field Spell Card in your hand!
Also, if the activated Field Spell Card is about to be destroyed by an opponent's effect, this card in the Monster Zone can be banished in its place, making for a rock-solid defense.
Illegal Knight
A Level 7 Fiend-Type monster that strengthens Decks built around "Rite of Aramesir."
It can be Special Summoned from your hand if there are no monsters on your field, or if "Adventurer Token" is present on your field, which are conditions that are easy to meet.
And, if "Adventurer Token" is on your field, then you can target 1 or 2 cards on your opponent's field and return them to their owner's hand. Although the cost of using this effect is that control of the monster is transferred to the opponent, it provides a way to deal with powerful cards.
The Weather Painter Moonbow
A Link 3 Fairy-Type Link Monster that strengthens "The Weather" Decks.
If this monster is successfully Link Summoned, you can Special Summon one of your banished "The Weather" monsters. Summon it to a zone that this monster points to and the linked monster will gain an effect that banishes 1 monster on your opponent's field until the next turn's Standby Phase. When facing difficult monsters, such as those with high ATK, use this effect to slice through your opponent's tactics!
Each pack contains 8 cards. The rarities are guaranteed as follows:
- The eighth card in each pack is R rarity or higher.
- If 10 packs are purchased at once, the eighth card of the 10th pack is instead guaranteed to be SR rarity or higher.
