Turn 14: Joey Wheeler
- Joey draws Gamble.
- Attacks Marik directly with "Lava Golem", but Marik activates Trap Card "Relieve Monster", returning "Plasma Eel" to his hand. The second effect of "Relieve Monster" then Special Summons "Plasma Eel" back to Marik's side of the field (500 ATK / 1200 DEF) in Defense Position. Since it can't be destroyed by battle, "Lava Golem" does not destroy it.
- "Helpoemer's" effect activates from Marik's Graveyard: Joey discards "Gamble".
- "Lava Golem's" effect inflicts 700 damage to Joey (Joey: 2900 → 2200 Life Points)
- Note: In the real game Lava Golem inflicts 1000 damage.
Turn 15: Yami Marik
- Marik Draws and Activates Magic Card "Machine Duplication", Special Summoning another two "Plasma Eels" (500 ATK / 1200 DEF) to the field in Attack Position.

Changes To The English Dub
- The pan of the field at the very beginning of the episode is cut.
- A brief scene of Marik explaining what Machine Duplication does is removed.
- A close up of Joey screaming in pain is also removed.
- "Gilford the Lightning" stabbing Joey's reflection is obscured in the dub.
- Cut short is a scene of Joey saying that Gilford the Lightning is going to kill Marik.
- Monster Reborn's cross is changed in the English version.
