Explanation of Decks

Hey nice to see you working on some interesting decks... I think the most important for the average person is to include the deck list as well as explain a little about the deck (ie the mechanics and the "game ending" goal and setup). All Seeing

Though this may not really help much, but I noticed in your all seeing deck that you have 3 Convulsions of Nature. A really good card to throw in their would be Reversal Quiz. It's great to see another Billy Deck enthusiast. A lot of the other duelists I've dueled against all use the same cards and aren't that original, and that get's really boring fast. User:Land_of_dogs

• Kung fu deck, Martial Art deck, Monk deck, Names don't really matter in the long run. I just put the name there so people would get the basic idea. I really just want to see a deck utilizing the Monk cards. In truth, the decks on the list are Billy decks that I think would actually work for more than just fun, like in tournaments and official stuff. I want to see decks utilizing all the untaped effects of cards like the Monks, or the beasts. In all of the years I have played this game, I have never seen anyone use a deck of Beast-type monsters. The closest there was was this deck that summoned the Sphinx monsters, and the Sphinxes were the only beasts in the deck!... sorry, I went into a rant. Anyway, I just want to see the untapped potential of all the cards, not just the Monarchs or Chimeratech Overdragon (even though it is an awesome card). So, good luck on the deck, and I hope it's so good that not even those splashable decks with the really cheap and broken cards can't beat it. User:Land_of_dogs

"The Legendary Fisherman"

with "The Legendary Fisherman" does it gain the ATK bonus from UMI? Or due it's effect of not being effected by spells it won't gain the bonus?, does it not? And also, due to "A Legendary Ocean" effect, will the "The Legendary Fisherman" lose a level to gain a normal/non-tribute summon? Just on my mind with this card... You seem to love your water decks so I thought I would ask you hehe. Thanks for reading.

Anti-GB Deck

Hi, you got a nice collection of deck lists. Lot of them seem very interesting, especially H20 and Clown Control. Frost and Flame Dragon might go nicely in H20, but would kinda take away a bit from Water Dragon being star card.

Well to point of post, I got a deck request for you. I noticed how much you seem to love GB, so I was thinking of a deck made to counter them. More of an anti-special summoning deck then just anti GB, maybe something like a Vanity's deck? Focusing around Vanity's Fiend, Vanity's Ruler, and any other cards to stop special summons. If you do, I could make deck and destroy my cousin. I wanted GB when they came out and told him that a lot. We got to preview, he got all the cards, made GB deck, then pwned my cloudian with it >.< I would always slip Vanity’s Ruler in it to annoy him, so a deck of them would just be hilarious to duel him with. • I was looking at deck list and got a few quick questions. If deck negates special summons, then shouldn’t monster reborn and premature burial not be in deck. Decks

• Good and Bad idea, in equal quantities. Good, in that encourages community paricipation, and Bad in that it reinforces the feeling of "elitism" (i.e. the feeling that users have against TPTB, esp. when it comes to deciding what means what exactly in the YGO universe), which has been simmering on several boards since the game began. Good idea in concept, I like it, but it needs to have a fairly strict control policy. I suggest using a Forum system, with each user posting links to a page on their User Namespace.
• Also, one other suggestion: Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Maker Wiki. This has massive potential to be a viable Wikia, but it's lacking in some notable areas:
  • There's no -really- involved leadership
  • It's unorganised to the point of eye-watering
  • There's little adherance to the "Standard" that the Yu-Gi-oh! Wikia provides ample coverage of
  • There's very little in the way of "Community Spirit", cards are added, with an insistance that they be personally tagged to the user via the Template. It would be nice if the Wikia stove to build a community of cards, not fettered by personal accredition. Hi, a message from Azuh

Just to answer your questions. The reason why i run Jinzo is because of Jinzo - Returners ability. Jinzo only lasts for a turn on the field, so if my opponents field is open, or if they destroy my monsters, Jinzo is sort of a defense line for the deck. Half the time, i just use it for a beatstick or even i don;t use it at all. So, i would mostly call it a backup plan for the deck

As for the second question. 4 targets for Crush Card is pretty high. Especially for Sangan and easy access for Necro Guardnas just in case they get in my hand

Trust me, the Shadow Monarchs work perfectly, since they are great at disrupting a Perfect Circle Deck or a Dark Armed Dragon. Or any deck that keeps up a field for me to target. Also, if my opponent is lower than 1000 Lp, he can remove himself. The Apprentice Magician and the cards summoned by her are usually required for field presence or a little drawing power. Teh Elegant Egotist and Hysteric Party are put at 2 because the Egotist sucks at a bad time, and Hysteric is unnecessary if you already have one active. 2 makes sure you draw without over drawing it. New Obiective

I like the idea of a Weekly Deck Competition. I'd recommend Danny Litithborne, Tyrant Slayer, and Maverick Skye over me a a Judge, but if you want me to I will (I have no desire to hold rank but will if needed). On Saturday I was at a Hobby Store tournament, and long story short I got my a** handed to me. Out of 5 people the first had a...well I didn't last very long but I think lightsworn. The second was a GB deck and he used Prisma and Gladiator Beast Gyzarus. The third game doesn't matter (I didn't draw sh**). Then I won one...by a bystand :( and the last one I won with Shining and Ultimate. So I realized I need a more tournament-based deck. So if you don't mind, your objective (if you choose to accept) is to make a Cyberdark/Blue-Eyes/Dragon Deck (Yes you can use Prisma and some guy warned my opponent about the Viruses…so that may be an idea) which can do well against swarms and beatdowns (LS and GB's). Gemini Toolbox

• Sorry for the delay, I've been busy. After looking at the Gemini deck you posted, I thought you may want to cut back on the Hand Destruction. Also, while Pot of Avarice and Foolish Burial are good, I wouldn't go above one in a gemini deck, even one that loves shoving things in the graveyard. No matter what kind of gemini deck you're building, Dark Valkyria is a must. She is very versatile and deadly. But this is one thing we could do...but only if you have time and you feel like it. The only other option I can think of is you make three decks, a Blue-Eyes deck, a Cyberdark deck, and a Dragon deck, that do not contain each others..."Specific" cards. Deck

Well I got my a** beat again (and still had fun) at a hobby league Tournament. I won 1 time out of 5...against a 10-year old...f*** me. Anyway I got some new cards (yyyaaayyy Fusion Guard!!!). But of course my deck needs help and I need practice. I faced a stall deck (Gravity Bind and A legendary Ocean...son of a b****), a Ancient Gear/Cyber Hybrid deck (interesting...and it had geartown), a monarch deck (What the hell am I suppose to say about that). WDC: Constant Disqualifications

Hey Chris, I had to disqualify yet another entree (Baccus78), for exceeding the limit on United We Stand. I also made a few changes:

• Added a "Caution" line warning entrees about the fact that WDC is in Advanced Format.
• Made the line warning entrees about the fact that "WDC is in Advanced Format and accepts only TGC cards" into Bold and Italics, to draw attention.

Well when a popular user, or just one I like, has been gone for a while I take it upon myself to see how you are doing. Well, News Bullitin: All the cr** that was occuring before you left has, atleast for now, stopped. Weird, I konw, but with school starting up a few months ago everything here slowed down, stuff has happened yes, but for the most part it is all quiet on the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia. Now for you: How have you been? Has your "stress" been relieved? Are you coming back? (I feel like I need to ask this to everyone). Well since you've been gone my deck has become somewhat better, for example I got Hand Destruction, but currently Card has been wwwaaayyy better. I have Montage Dragon and Prime Material Dragon, I'm planing on doubling my cyberdarks, I'm thinking of getting rid of Twin-Headed Behemoth, and adding two more Exploder Dragons, Mirage Dragon has proven useful but Royal Decree seems somewhat better,I have Stardust and RDA, I have Magical Stone Excavation, I'm thinking of using Gift of the Martyr (it came to me in a dream or a drug induced coma...not really), Pot of Avarice, Tribute to the Doomed, and finally Eradicator Epidemic Virus (whioh is d*** near useless...weird). Anyway I was wondering if I was the last straw that made you leave? I only ask that because I was the last one to speak to you (I think) on the IRC, but because you were limited on time I felt there was no need to discuss my deck (which is why I asked you to come on).
