- You can use the effect of "Debris Dragon" to Summon "Blackwing - Fane the Steel Chain" or "Shield Wing" to Summon this card quickly.
- Likewise, you can Summon "Dragunity Dux", use its effect to Summon "Dragunity Phalanx" from the Graveyard, use the effect of "Phalanx" to separate itself from "Dux", and then tune them together.
- Also, in a similar manner, you can Summon "Dragunity Aklys" or "Dragunity Partisan" and by its effect to Summon "Dragunity Militum". Then use the effect of "Militum" to separate the Tuner and Summon it. Then use them to Synchro Summon this card.
- All of these strategies will provide a Winged Beast that you may banish in order to use its effect.
- You can recycle some Winged Beast monsters that you banished from the Graveyard by using "Burial from a Different Dimension" or "Miracle Dig".
- The best monster to banish for this card's effect is "Simorgh, Bird of Ancestry". And it isn't particularly hard to put in a "Dragunity" Deck.
- An alternative is to splash some "Blackwings" (like "Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind"), DARK Dragons (like "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon") and add "Dark Simorgh".
- Use this with "Rising Energy". Discard a powerful Winged Beast (like the "Simorgh" mentioned above) to give this 1500 ATK. Then, banish the Winged Beast for up to 2900 more ATK. This can bring "Gae Bulg" up to 6400 ATK for one battle.
- In a "Dragunity" Deck, if you have "Vortex the Whirlwind" in your grave, you can banish it to give this card 4100 ATK, and this is a likely situation given the easy "Dragunity Legionnaire" and "Dragunity Phalanx" combo, followed by the "Dragunity Dux" and "Phalanx" combo.
