Darkness (ダークネス Dākunesu) is a series of DARK Attribute monsters, mostly Spellcaster Type, debuting in the Megaroad Pack and used by Otes in the Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS anime, Yuna Goha in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! manga, and briefly by Yuamu Ohdo, Yudias Velgear, and Mitsuko Hiramori in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime. It is closely related to the Sevens Road series, with several cards also depicting "Sevens Road Magician" in their artworks.
Design
The Darkness's Spellcaster monsters wear faceless masks. Most of their designs possess an eye motif that reflects their respective Levels (e.g. "Darkness Zerorogue" has 7 eyes throughout its armor, excluding its own eyes).

In the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime's Galaxy Cup arc, several Darkness monsters started mysteriously appearing in some characters' Deck. These monsters take forms and functions fitting to their designated character's Decks (for example, the Dragon Type "Darkness Drake" appeared in Yuamu's Deck). Once the Duel where they first emerged in has finished, they completely disappear from the Deck.

Playing style
The Darkness series becomes stronger by having as many DARK Attribute Spellcaster Type monsters in the Graveyard as possible, to Special Summon "Darkness Zerorogue" and destroy all monsters on the opponent's field with its effect, as well as empower the boss monster "Magician of Dark Sevens". "Darkness Fource Seeker", and "Release Wrath" from outside the theme, can help to quickly send monsters to the Graveyard, while "Darkness Rogue" can Summon "Zerorogue" from the hand. Although "Sevens Road Magician" is included as Fusion Material for "Magician of Dark Sevens", a "Darkness" Deck typically avoids playing Attributes other than DARK, but it can still benefit from other Sevens Road support since all Sevens Road monsters are DARK Attribute Spellcaster Type. "Sevens Road Witch" and "Sevens Road Sorcerer" can Special Summon "Zerorogue" to use its effect, and "Master of the Sevens Road" is another boss monster that benefits from having many DARK Attribute Spellcaster Type in the Graveyard.
As a Spellcaster Type theme, it can also use various other Spellcaster support cards, most notably the Trap Card "Dark Revelation", but also "Magical Stream" and "Road Magic - Dark Night". The Legend Card "Dark Magician" is also a DARK Attribute Spellcaster Type, so it and its support cards can work with the other DARK Attribute Spellcaster Type support included; "Monster Reborn" is a costless way to Special Summon "Zerorogue" to use its effect while also helping Fusion Summon "Magician of Dark Sevens" more easily.
