Series 12
Series 12 is the collective name for the Core Boosters released from 2023 to 2026.
As it coincides with Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!!, which promotes Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel, it does not introduce anime cards from a concurrent series into the OCG/TCG, instead focusing on supporting existing themes from the first 6 NAS anime series, from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters to Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS. Each set references a climactic Duel from the anime that it's based on, with the cover card being based on a powerful monster used during the Duel. For instance, Duelist Nexus contains multiple cards that reference Yusei Fudo and Z-one's Duel. Each set also introduces a new series or archetype inspired by an old iconic card. Unlike Series 11, Series 12 includes multiple cards introduced in past anime series.
Series 12 also features several archetypes and cards that compose storylines centered around "Diabellstar the Dark Witch" and the "Sinful Spoils" theme, as well as continuing the "Visas Starfrost" storyline.
Booster Packs
"Cover era" refers to the origin of the set's main supported theme, which provides the cover card. "Legacy theme" refers to the new archetype/series inspired by old cards.
