"Crash! God vs. Devil God" is the forty-second chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! R manga. It was first printed in Japan on November 20, 2007 in V Jump magazine.
"Obelisk the Tormentor" faces the "The Wicked Avatar". Yugi plays "Divine Evolution", evolving "Obelisk" into a greater form.

"The Wicked Avatar" attacks directly, but Yugi activates his face-down "Shadow Guardsmen", Special Summoning two "Guard Tokens" (1/1) in Defense Position since Yako controls two monsters. Yako activates his face-down "Berserk Mode", switching all monsters on the field to Attack Position and forcing all monsters he controls to attack. Yugi activates his face-down "Monster Reborn", Special Summoning "Obelisk the Tormentor" (4000/4000) from his Graveyard in Attack Position. As it is the strongest monster on the field, the ATK of "The Wicked Avatar" becomes equal to its ATK plus 1, or 4001. Yugi activates the effect of "Obelisk", Tributing his two "Guard Tokens" to increase the ATK of "Obelisk" to ∞. As nothing can be greater than ∞, the ATK of "The Wicked Avatar" simply becomes ∞ as well. "Obelisk" would be destroyed since "Avatar" is higher on the God Pyramid, but Yugi activates his face-down "Divine Evolution", increasing the ATK of "Obelisk" by 1000. As it already ∞, "Obelisk" changes form and becomes the equal of "Avatar" on the God Pyramid.
