Forum:Zombie Deck v1

I am making a Zombie deck, and I'm wondering if there is anything I should change to it? I follow the banned card system too, so any suggestions would be much appreciated. EDIT: I would also apreciate it greatly if you could be specfic as to why (card's not good..)

Sign your posts with ~~~~, use Template:Decklist, see Forum:Deck Guide/General, and link your cards. First off: you should fill your Extra Deck. Next: why in the world are you use Electric Lizard? Gernia isn't very good, Regenerating Mummy is too situational to be good. Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower isn't very good because your opponent's Graveyard is their second most valuable resource. Fill my Extra Deck with what?, Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower is used to mill the deck, and how many decks use the Graveyard as a source of power? Blood Sucker is used to help mill the deck too. Get rid of Lightning Vortex, reason is you need to discard 1 card, use Dark Hole instead. Poison Mummy, is not worth it, getting rid of 500 LP isn't worth a spot in the deck. 3 Zombie Master might be a good idea, can revive your monsters + opponent's with Zombie World. Get rid of Reload, too chancy, get rid of both Axe of Despair(3 MST in this format+Equip Spells are too slow), add 3 Pot of Duality. Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower can only mill the oppoent's deck, use 3 Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter + 1 Charge of the Light Brigade or another 3 other Lightsworns + Charge, their better mill for your deck, plus Zombie's don't need to focus on the opponent, even is they are using Zom. World. And see Forum:Deck Guide/General, BobaFett2 also mentioned this, you NEED to read it. Written by one of the best deckbuilders on the site in my opinion, and before you say who cares about my opinion, see Forum:Decks for Free!.

Fill out the extra deck with Synchro monsters(Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier if you can) and maybe a few more Rank 4 Xyzs, like Wind-Up Zenmaister it can work like a Book of Moon to smash threw monsters, seeing as most strong monsters have lower DEF stats. ---Dark Ace SP™ (Talk) 21:59, September 25, 2011 (UTC)

To DarkAce: No, you can't use Zenmaister on your opponent's monsters. Annoyingly enough, it only works on your own face-up monsters. Runer5h (talk • contribs) 22:55, September 26, 2011 (UTC)Runer5h

Not all of those benefit from mill, though it doesn't hurt.

Anyways. You shouldn't use "Coffin Seller", or "Blood Sucker". Your Deck should bring out big strong monsters from the Extra Deck every turn, and those cards don't add to that. You shouldn't use "The Cheerful Coffin" because it doesn't benefit you directly; stuff should just naturally get to your Graveyard as you discard for "Zombie Master". You also shouldn't use "Hidden Book of Spell", since you have to wait to draw the cards you send back to the Deck.

You shouldn't use "Poison Mummy" because you only get 1 Normal Summon per turn and there are better cards to Summon with it, like "Zombie Master". "Spear Cretin" isn't needed if you have "Mezuki". "Electric Lizard" doesn't work if your Field Spell's out, and it wouldn't help in most situations.

You don't need to discard for Spells or Traps for this Deck to run smoothly; using "Zombie Master" and "Goblin Zombie" will set your hand and Graveyard up fast enough. Also, you're not running all DARK monsters. "[[Instead of "Raigeki Break" and "Dark Illusion", try one more MST, a "Dark Hole", two "Compulsory Evacuation Device", and one "Torrential Tribute". These tend to be effective in many situations and don't discard cards you need for your combos.

Oh, and get "Plaguespreader Zombie" and/or "Pain Painter" for some Synchro Summons. They are very important.
