While speculation should not be included, I'm not sure if that was speculation or not. I haven't been watching ZEXAL for a while. For episodes/chapters, it's better to ask User:Cheesedude. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 02:03, December 24, 2011 (UTC)

Hey, the one you recently post has it question answered by me. I didn't play that game and I immediate knew the way to solve the puzzle. Enjoy the victory ^_^ --FredCat 00:24, January 6, 2012 (UTC)

Yes, once there are no "Kozaky" on his/her side, it self-destruction and give 2500 damages - enough to end him/her. --FredCat 12:13, January 6, 2012 (UTC)

Re: ZEXAL Manga[edit]

Hi! It's great you've added the missing chapter articles. That is what we really needed. I have actually a few ways for making this featured cards lists. The first way is downloading the rank and identifying cards. I don't have to access to NeoArkCradle download forum, so I have to search for download links on Janime df or in corresponding chapter threads (either Janime or NAC). I can also use the English script if it is posted in the chapter thread. The other way is looking for posts which reveal what cards are used in the chapter, the main being Neo Arkadia's. However, the lists I make aren't always 100% accurate. For example, I misidentified "Kagemucha Knight" with "Copy Knight", or read a post containing a false information and listed "Leviathan Dragon" as a featured card for rank 12 etc. -- The Goblin  Talk  02:33, January 27, 2012 (UTC)

Where did you get that...[edit]

..excellent Flashing Karat Dragon picture, and can you get more? as you can see, we're low on 5D's and ZEXAL manga pictures past a certain point. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd advise against going to any sites of... dubious legal status, though, as I don't want to be the one getting any users in trouble! Rod (talkcontribs) 01:07, February 28, 2012 (UTC)

  • We're missing pictures as far back as 5D's Ride 18, so any help you could give us would be great! Neo Ark Cradle, though, they don't seem like they respect copyright law all that much, so if it's less than legal I'd advise not bothering. Rod (talkcontribs) 01:28, February 28, 2012 (UTC)
    • You know, I think posting entire raw chapters might also be of dubious legality, so you might want to reconsider getting your scans from them. I'm just trying to keep an eye out for you, is all. Rod (talkcontribs) 02:20, February 28, 2012 (UTC)
      • There is really no other available resource. People who legally import manga from Japan and people who edit this wiki or are part of the YGO fan community do not appear to overlap in any significant numbers. To be frank, I'd imagine many of the Japanese manga images we have are from questionable sources (and will freely admit that any I've uploaded are from such a source). That being said, we should be fine. Granted, we shouldn't be uploading entire chapters for people to view, but small, isolated card images and panels to illustrate articles aren't likely to attract much attention. And really, if it did, Wikia staff would delete the images and move on. I highly doubt individual users would be targeted for legal action. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 03:21, February 28, 2012 (UTC)
      • No, I'm saying don't do that! Rod (talkcontribs) 16:18, February 28, 2012 (UTC)
      • That's what I was saying as well! Someone has done that in the past - and they've been speedily deleted. Do not do that, ever. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:46, February 28, 2012 (UTC)
      • Also, adding fair use rationale to images that you upload can help. In a case like that, it at least proves that no ill will was intended if someone actually did target Wikia for copyright infringement. On another note, if you were to upload full chapters, Wikia wouldn't like it and NAC would like it even less. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 16:35, February 29, 2012 (UTC)

Thunder[edit]

That's not how archetypes work. Per the exhaustive forum discussion, any card with the necessary Japanese characters is counted. We considered changing this at Talk:Devil, but decided against it. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:19, March 5, 2012 (UTC)

Shouldn't we have a page or something like that explaining about that? I mean, there are lots of complications related to what is an archetype and what is a series, and then, even more about what does and what does not belong to it... I mean, it is very complicated for people that edit here for less than years... We should have the requirements specified somewhere... [User:LegenaryAsariUgetsu|LegenaryAsariUgetsu]] (talkcontribs) March 5th, 2012, 14:55 (UTC)
They are documented, to a degree, on the archetype and series pages, though those could definitely be written better. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 16:53, March 5, 2012 (UTC)

King's Hurricane[edit]

It's not like you to just blank a page. Do you think the card is a hoax, has it duplicate article or was this just an accident? -- Deltaneos (talk) 14:18, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

Possible to be by a friend, like one who asked you to unbanned him from chatroom; only turned out that he allowed his friend fooling around with his account. I may be wrong though. --FredCat 14:45, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
I didn't do that :|. Really, I use to create the pages for latest manga chapters and cards and I review each edit on them. But thinking better, I did a minor edit on that card today, and looks like it instead removed all content, I don't know how. So, for short, it was an accident or something like that, I don't understand very well how my computer blanked the page, but it was not intentional. LegenaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) April 1st, 2012, 18:44 (UTC)

P.S. Are you manually typing out your signature? You can just type four tildes, like this ~~~~ and it'll automatically change into your signature with a timestamp. -- Deltaneos (talk) 19:11, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

Same thing it happened to me when I uploading new tip to Tip Article, it just went empty so I have to edit it again and publish it again - same thing for image that didn't show up, which required a nice boot on the bums or change address to correct sentence to get them show up. And don't you know about signature stuff? It's been up above this "edit" box as you're "post" your comments; only below the all stuffs included Preview and Publish buttons. "This is a talk page. Well, at 0.38 Shark is holding No. 32, at 1.13 Utopia appears, then No. 32, NGED and finally CNo 39. I can't see CNo. 32 anywhere. Shark may obtain the number somehow, but so far the only way to obtain a Chaos Number is using the Emperor's Key which is Yuma's possession. I wouldn't list Shark as the owner since it's nothing more than speculation for the time being. --109.92.112.222 (talk) 16:39, April 9, 2012 (UTC)

ZEXAL[edit]

Hi. I apologize for answering you so late. [1] I'm only interested in ZEXAL, since I never liked 5D's. I see you're doing a pretty god job at NAC. :) You don't have to share the scans with me. It used to be difficult to get the info for chapter articles, but isn't the case today. Regarding translations, my only skill is making out the katakana for card names and then using translation machines. There are a few users who have a good knowledge of Japanese, such as III, Ryusui, Bhigpx, and Blackwings0605. I'm curious about something... does rank 15 shows what monsters Yuma used for summoning Black Corn? I found some scans at NAC, but didn't spot the monsters anywhere. By the way, I posted the article about the latest chapter, you might be interested in editing it. -- The Goblin  I'm feelin' the flow  00:39, April 23, 2012 (UTC)

Peropero Kerperos[edit]

It's one of Yuma's syllable cards. Peropero is in kana; it doesn't have a translation, same as Muzurhythm. Muzu didn't get translated, neither did Gachigachi Gantetsu, Kagetokage, etc. MadRest 21:08, May 5, 2012 (UTC)

Kerberos is the original Greek name. It is intentionally Kerperos because it has 'pero' in its name. Cerberus is another name as well, but it doesn't fit with 'pero'. MadRest 21:21, May 5, 2012 (UTC)

Archetype images[edit]

Hi there. We discussed here a little while ago about what to use as the main image for archetypes/series. We came to the conclusion to try to find images with at least 2 members or an image of their boss monster. That's why the "Number" image is what it is now. :) And about moving images, it's a special right some of us got a little while ago. You can request it if you think it'd be useful to you. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 01:11, June 8, 2012 (UTC)

Move Series[edit]

Yea, Cheesy should get them moving because the previous links that other user moved from didn't bypassing the redirect by unchecking the box - it just making it stuck there. Goldy explained to me that Admin would have to do that way.
Though it would be unknown, I am sure that we should visiting the old link (which is also redirecting to current link) and erasing it from there (such as mark it as delete) or removed redirect link and moved all stuffs from current link into there then we can add redirect link to the current version (as switch their roles around). But that would taking more times and efforts to fixing that. --iFredCat 20:57, June 19, 2012 (UTC)

Our article says the English manga uses the Japanese names. Is this true? If it is, all manga articles should be changed to use the Japanese names, just like DM articles. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:50, June 27, 2012 (UTC)

Tokunosuke's Past[edit]

In the manga, Tokunosuke wanted to show his brother a new card he got but Tokunosuke overhears his mother talking about letting Tokunosuke do whatever he wants so that his brother can study in peace. This hurts Tokunosuke so he goes to show some kids the new card he got but he hears one of the kids talk about how he only hangs out with Tokunosuke just so he can get some cards from him and doesn't care about Tokunosuke at all. This causes Tokunosuke to believe that everyone has a hidden agenda. Spectertv (talkcontribs) 23:58, June 29, 2012 (UTC)

NC images[edit]

NC images and card images should always be separate in they are going into the galleries. A card image should always show just the card, with as little of anything else as possible. An image with both wouldn't go in the galleries, it would be better suited to illustrate the article on the chapter it appeared in. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:27, July 4, 2012 (UTC)

It should be easy to enough to crop out the card. For the NC image, just crop as much of the card out as possible. If some of the card is still on the NC image, that's alright. It's better than not having the image. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:36, July 4, 2012 (UTC)

Ah, I missed that. Thanks, Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:54, July 5, 2012 (UTC)

More D-Team[edit]

You said over on NAC that you're not that interested in D-Team. I'd be willing to take over your work on it here if you like. Though you may need to poke me when a new chapter or info comes out if I don't notice. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 16:15, July 6, 2012 (UTC)

That's the thing about this wiki. There's always something to do here. It's never actually going to be finished. Well, carry on then. But don't hesitate to ask for help. You're not bugging me, don't worry. You should check out the Archives of Deltaneos talk page for the past few years. The sheer number of things I had to ask him about is staggering. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 16:21, July 6, 2012 (UTC)
You can add anything that was there in the original version. Which is usually just the images themselves, since the text gets changed. A full page once in a while is fine, but I wouldn't overdo it. As long you're not uploading whole chapters, it should be fine. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 16:40, July 6, 2012 (UTC)

Kachi Kochi Dragon attack name[edit]

Hey Asari (can I call you that, or would you prefer something like "Ugetsu" or "LAU", or just your full username, or something else?), I was wondering why you removed the English attack name for "Kachi Kochi Dragon"? This name was used in the chapter of the ZEXAL manga published in last Monday's WSJ Alpha. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 08:07, July 14, 2012 (UTC)

No problem, call me what you want. ;) If it gets easier for you, you can call me Kank as well (short for Kankurou, my main username). By the way, do you know how can I add an "AKA" to my profile? xP
OK, so, 'bout the name. Well, that's not the name of the attack; its just an order. Luna just ordered him to pulverize Righty. This can be a little confusing some times, but many characters just order a monster to do something when activating an effect or attacking (rip 'em to shreds, destroy, rise, protect, etc.). Those are not actual attack or effect names; actual names usually are things more like, for example, Bahamut's Divine Soul. You can recognize it for the different style. Instead of orders, they are like descriptions (e.g. Thunder Blade, Great Cannon, Dragon Flame, etc.).LegenaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 15:59, July 14, 2012 (UTC)
For the "AKA" name, when you're viewing a page that your information box thingie appears on (your userpage, talk page, contributions, etc.), click to edit the information in the box (hovering over its interior should show the link in the upper right-hand corner) and fill in the "What's your name?" inputbox in the "Edit Profile" box that pops up.
That makes sense; I was actually suspecting something like that. Now I'm wondering if we shouldn't document these as well; for example, Exodia's famous "Obliterate" definitely sounds like a command/order, as opposed to an actual attack name, but most people think of it as the latter, I would imagine. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 16:33, July 14, 2012 (UTC)
If Exodia's "Obliterate" is being treated as an attack name, we should remove it right now. That's clearly an order, not a name. Maybe we could add an invisible note in the attack names page about this (y'know, that notes that don't appear in the page, but appear when you are editing it). LegenaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 16:40, July 14, 2012 (UTC)
Well, I don't know if it actually is; I was just using it as an example. I do know that I personally always thought of it as an attack name, and I couldn't possibly be the only one. ;)
I think that might be more trouble than it's worth. Why would we not want to document command names? I can't really think of any reasons not to, myself. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 16:45, July 14, 2012 (UTC)
I personally disagree. An order is something very irrelevant in my opinion. And many characters give orders in many situations, so documenting all would be a big waste of time. I myself can just Duel my friend and when attacking his monster, say "Destroy!". Again, in my opinion, that's something much irrelevant. Attack names at least are original and unique. Orders are just what the card does, and are very general terms that can be used for any card. LegenaryAsariUgetsu (talkcontribs) 16:48, July 14, 2012 (UTC)
Well, my main concern is just that it's not necessarily clear (particularly to those watching/reading the English media) what the difference is and when a given term is one or the other. Even with a hidden note (or a zillion of them), there's not much we can do about that confusion and we'd still be getting command names on the list from time to time (maybe pretty often, but I don't follow the "attack names" page closely enough to know how often names get added and then removed). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 16:53, July 14, 2012 (UTC)
Actually, once we explain it clearly, they will understand. For example, you understood after I explained you just once, didn't you? I could, but if you leave it up to me, it's hard to tell when it'd get done. ;D
Adding the notes is easy enough: to start one, you use the code <!-- and to end it, the code --> . Once you start one, all the text before the ending tag is discarded by the parser, so if you forget to close it, you'll hide the rest of the page (I've done that on a few occasions =D ). ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 16:46, July 18, 2012 (UTC)

Milla[edit]

Here's an excellent question for you. When Milla the Temporal Magician is Normal Summoned, you must target a face-down card your opponent controls. Does this mean she cannot be Normal Summoned if your opponent doesn't control any face-down cards?

Forest image[edit]

Hey, since you uploaded the manga images for the "(of the) Forest" cards, would you be able to get an image featuring a number of the monsters in one scene? Their current image is a card artwork montage, which is discouraged. HERO[edit]

Actually, "Hero" should not be changed to "HERO" in anime and manga articles. According Spectertv, the later manga chapters start using "HERO", but I'm not sure exactly when that starts. Regardless, the early chapters (and anime articles) shouldn't use "HERO" (but all images should, because our image policy is weird). Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 19:10, August 23, 2012 (UTC)

Cyber Dragon and Cyber End Dragon's coloration[edit]

I think its a lighting issue. Look at Card Gallery:Cyber End Dragon. The image with "Armored Cybern" is from the same time period as the darker CED image. Both Duels took place in the cloud dimension thing. The Duel against Yubel took place later in the day, so I think it was just darker, so everything looked darker. I don't think it has anything to do with Kaiser being evil (though by that point he was turning back around anyway). Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:20, September 26, 2012 (UTC)

I realize that has happened, but I don't think its the case this time. Now I feel like watching those episodes again. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:03, September 26, 2012 (UTC)
It was to do with the time of day. It was sunset, so naturally most things were covered in shadows (Johan's monsters were too). Plus I believe they were stood under the gates shadow, so that'd add to the level of shadow. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 14:13, September 26, 2012 (UTC)

TCG/Anime differences[edit]

You don't really need to add those to episode/chapter articles. I had meant to get around to replacing them with a notice that tells editors to check the card articles instead. It was discussed a few times in forum discussions whose names I can't remember. An example can be seen here. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:49, October 14, 2012 (UTC)

Yes, remove them if you like. Many of them were added by me, actually, since previous consensus was to do it that way (or rather there was consensus and everyone assumed we should). In some cases, it spirals out of control quite quickly.
Prior to listing them that way, articles usually had them in an even worse fashion. It would be formatted like this - right in the middle of sections as separate pargarphs.:

NOTE: The real effect of "X" does this.

Or, in even worse cases:

NOTE: Jaden cheated because Bubbleman doesn't do that. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:06, October 14, 2012 (UTC)

So yeah, remove any if you happen to be editing those articles. I'll try to get around to making a sweep through and nixing them altogether eventually. We do need to add that notice box though, or random IPs will start re-adding them for sure. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:06, October 14, 2012 (UTC)

I think I get where it's from "簡単に骸骨はルドガー" was posted on 2chan and reposted in Neo Ark Cradle. It mentions "Rudger" and "the skeleton". I can't make much sense out of the whole sentence. I'd say it's likely that edit is true, but not a 100% guarantee. -- Deltaneos (talk) 16:13, November 19, 2012 (UTC)

Helpful Tip[edit]

Whenever you make a new page for a chapter of the manga for Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's or Zexal, it doesn't appear on the chapter listing of the mangas. You have to go to the chapter listings and click on edit then hit publish for it to appear. Do the same thing when entering the title of the chapter and the release date as well. Spectertvx (talkcontribs) 02:04, November 20, 2012 (UTC)

That should happen automatically, but if it doesn't happen instantly, another way to force an update is to add ?action=purge to the end of the URL e.g. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Yu-Gi-Oh!_ZEXAL_chapter_listing?action=purge -- Deltaneos (talk) 15:23, November 21, 2012 (UTC)

Monster NC images[edit]

Hey there, you're doing a good job with the NC images, but is it possible to try and include the ATK meter in as many as possible? It adds more purpose to including the NC images of both the dub and the raw. Cheers. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 16:43, November 27, 2012 (UTC)

You don't have to apologise, you're still going a good job as nothing existed there in the past to show them as NC (which I still don't know what stands for). There's discussion over going over the DM episodes anyway on NAC, so any replacements can be made with who ever goes over the episode. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 16:55, November 27, 2012 (UTC)
Ah, that makes sense :P and yeah, it's a shame that so many old articles lack attention. Hopefully when I finish my university module, I will start editing the 5D's episode pages again and update them to Zexal's standards. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 16:59, November 27, 2012 (UTC)
LAU, I'm not sure there's a need to add EN images when they're identical to the JP images. Sometimes the only difference is the ATK/DEF display, which is negligible. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 22:59, December 3, 2012 (UTC)

Re:Kagetokage[edit]

English and Japanese NC images[edit]

Hey LAU, like I said before about monster images, it makes no sense to upload an image of a monster from the dub if its appearance doesn't differ from the original. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 03:57, December 14, 2012 (UTC)

Etoile Cyber's EN image was fine to upload, since it shows a difference, but when you do, upload the image that matches the position of the JP NC image so that the differences can more easily be seen. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 21:51, December 14, 2012 (UTC)

Gender of Astral[edit]

Should we just refer to Astral as "it"? XD I understand that we call Astral a "him," because Astral has a recognizable male voice in both versions ZEXAL. But still, your edit raises a controversy. If Astral really doesn't have a gender, then Astral should be referred to as "it." I have a feeling this would annoy plenty of people in the Yugioh community, so I have the feeling you might have to place Astral's gender as male eventually. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:16, December 14, 2012 (UTC)

Meh... I don't feel like trying to incorporate this ambiguity into the article... I would at the very least like to put near the beginning of the article that Astral's gender is unknown, but since Astral has a male voice in both versions of ZEXAL, Astral will be referred to as a "him" for all intents and purposes. Do you think you could incorporate this into the article? (As a side note, although Astral has a slender feminine shape, I think Japanese anime is capable of producing male characters that look like that.) --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:28, December 14, 2012 (UTC)
Good idea. I will also add in that message the disclaimer that says although Astral's gender is unknown, Astral will be referred to as a him in the article. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:40, December 14, 2012 (UTC)

Weird "Chess-like" monsters[edit]

Yeah, hehe, there is no precedent for things like this, except for maybe the Senet cards, and even Konami realized what a disaster that was. So, we have to kinda make up our own wording for this (at least until the English Viz manga translation comes out). In chess, they describe the knight moving in an L-shape formation, either 2 spaces vertical and 1 space horizontal, or 2 spaces horizontal and 1 space vertical (Shogi doesn't have the latter option for its knight.) So, you should find the changes on the page soon. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 01:20, December 20, 2012 (UTC)

"Destroyed by battle", "Battle Phase", etc all have links so they need to be ignored.
So the only one left is "battles" to "battles"?
I don't think a direct attack counts as a battle; either that or every battle effect includes another monster in the lore.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 20:22, January 6, 2013 (UTC)
Links added.
Actually, Swift Samurai Storm!, Gemini Soldier and Revival of the Immortals counts direct attacks as battles.
But then, I'm not sure why Gladiator Beasts use "attacked or was attacked" instead of "battles".

Along with those two, also Gemini Soldier.
That seems to be the case, since if you compare those "battles" cards with the "attacked or was attacked" cards (GBs, Chainsaw Insect). They seem to all use "戦闘を行" in the OCG lore.

I see, thank you for clean out the confusedness from me. --iFredCat 01:44, January 14, 2013 (UTC)

Remember those discuss we had from before (up above)? I went to watch the episode and noticed that it was too "small" to fixing in - I am aware that they can shrinking the card size as thin as that but I am sure that episode was little "rush" that they don't have a time to finishing it and had to draw old background in their stead.
Like with Gagaga Magician's face "scars", once up in his body-size in the scene, it look like they were his "old-wrinkle" while they were purposing to be scars from some kind of cat-fight (no, not Gagaga Girl vs. Gagaga Clerk kindly, I meant by him taking a care of cat and it scratched on his face). If you get the idea where I am been at, then that's great to know.
Again, I have no powers to change that because I have no evidence other than what I mentioned. --iFredCat 17:02, January 23, 2013 (UTC)

About that closely, but you forgot that I could add that they were little... rushing on that episode and were not able to finishing it with 1 scene; have him with white hole(s) of those cards that should to be there. Since that was only 1 scene, they can clearly ignoring it and process on. --iFredCat 17:16, January 23, 2013 (UTC)

Ah, I didn't even notice that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't those two images from the same episode. If so, that's really, really strange. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 17:28, January 18, 2013 (UTC)

Constrec[edit]

It's not a real word; I'm not even sure how it's spelled, but it's not 'Construct' in the Japanese version as far as I can tell. It may be a portmanteau of construct and some other word, though. MadRest 00:26, January 26, 2013 (UTC)

No, 'track' would be pronounced 'trakku'. It might be 'trek', or just some complete nonsense. MadRest 00:34, January 26, 2013 (UTC)

And don't remove the translated name! It is not always the case that the Japanese are using a weird pronunciation; they could say 'konsutorakuto' if they wanted to, but they're using a different word altogether. MadRest 00:36, January 26, 2013 (UTC)

That's just an assumption; if the pronunciation is different form the real word, it's probably a different word. You can't just say that he just made a mistake without any proof; most likely, the translator, not knowing what the word was, decided to use the closest-sounding real word. For all you know, the writer wanted to use 'Constrek' because it sounded aesthetically good to him, even if he happened to make it up. MadRest 00:50, January 26, 2013 (UTC)

Actually, I'm saying it's a made-up word, not a portmanteau. You can't say that this isn't the author's style, and then present it as proof. How do you know the author so perfectly? For 'za' and 'ji', it's like that because those 2 are different pronunciations, even in English. You say 'di end', not 'da end'. Also, can you offer some examples where a word has been mispronounced? I don't remember any. 'Construct' is just an assumption, but since it doesn't fit with any real word, it doesn't mean it's wrong. Like I said, the author chose it because he liked how it sounded (or some other reason, other than, "I'm too Japanese to know Engrish." Trying to find a prefect translation for every word, even when they're made-up, is an example of literal translation. And, like many translators have told me, they don't like literal translations. MadRest 02:17, January 26, 2013 (UTC)

I was talking about Yu-Gi-Oh! Present an example in the manga or game! Of course there's going to be someone in the whole of Japan that makes these kinds of mistakes, but it's not this one. And even if he did make a mistake, what he originally thought of isn't important, since no such word exist. We don't go fixing Fushioh Richie into Fushioh Lich, even if we're 100% sure they messed up. I'm not saying 'da' is wrong, but certain words like 'end' and 'Earth', when used with the definite article 'the', change its pronunciation to 'di', or, in Japanese, it would be pronounced 'ji'. In fact, the fact that he knows the different pronunciations of 'the' proves that he has decent knowledge of the English language, thereby lowering the odds he made a mistake. Also, 'Constrek', like I said, may not be a portmanteau or a pun; it's a made-up word, similar to Tragoedia (and you said he doesn't like making up words). You know why he chose Tragoedia? Because, most likely, it sounded good to him. The same can be said about Constrek. He didn't want to say 'Tragedy' or 'Construct' in those cases, even though they sound alike to different words, respectively. Using made-up words is a writer's choice, and you can't claim that all made-up words are mistakes just because there exists a real word with similar pronunciation. MadRest 17:31, January 26, 2013 (UTC)

Actually, 'tragoedia' is an ancient word meaning tragedy in a different language. And how does 'construct' make sense? If it were to deal with Fusion Materials, it would have made sense. But it Summons Fusion Monsters of the same level, so maybe it's based on 'constellation' or something else, but I still find it highly unlikely that he would forget the 't', and change 'a' to 'e' for no reason. Anyway, you can change it for now. MadRest 17:54, January 26, 2013 (UTC)

Gemini is pronounced with an 'ai', but they sometimes use 'jemini' as well. But, they were wrong about 'foresee', at least. MadRest 00:41, February 1, 2013 (UTC)

Possess[edit]

Well, the term "possess" currently seems to follow the pattern that it is only used to describe the Trigger of an effect when it is destroyed by an opponent's card. This can be seen in the texts of "Dark Necrofear", the newer "Madolche" monsters, "Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Hawk", and "Noble Knight Joan". That being said, I would not use the term unless the card's lore says it must be destroyed by an opponent's card to activate its effect. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 03:34, February 4, 2013 (UTC)

First series anime[edit]

Taken an interest in the first series anime, eh? That's good, we obviously need images. If you see any good ones for the episode pages, please add them (I started doing that a while back, but quickly got distracted). :) --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 00:50, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

Oh wow, no I didn't. I would only watch long enough to get the images I was after then move on to the next. What we really need is people to write summaries for them, but I'm not good at that. Hopefully one day someone steps up to the plate. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 01:06, February 6, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Track 34[edit]

SALUTATIONS LEGENDARY ASARI UGETSU!!

Thanks for your inquiry. As for it, nah--I'm pretty darn sure that the track IS the right one. The "Eyecatcher" one plays during every Japanese episode title card. Biggest reason why I don't think the one in question here is fauxed is because it plays during commercial break cards (usually during of a Duel. with suspense in mind.) Buttressing this is given track #34's name "Anticipating the Duel" and the fact that I've been on and off with watching Japanese episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. That all being noted, I think this track is in the right spot.

Thanks for asking nonetheless. The Japanese soundtracks have been a cobweb-satiated realm of this Wikia since its advent and it's about bloody time we clear it significantly by adding some tracks (If only the .ogg files were able to play on this Wikia, which they DO NOT!! X[) --ARCADIASSCHOLARLY 19:54, February 9, 2013 (UTC)

You know what--I won't worry much about the .oggs not playing on my machine. At least if the .ogg files play for ONE person's machine, then I guess they work (thank GOD I imported them into this Wikia right then.) It's probable that I simply lack a specific software medium or coded to play the .ogg files from the Wikia then!? Nevertheless, I thanketh you for the suggestion to give Dinoguy5000 a holler if needed. =j --ARCADIASSCHOLARLY 22:15, February 9, 2013 (UTC)

Question[edit]

thumb Do you know what chapter this picture is from. ---highly respect, Stark 20:17, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

That image is from Destined Meeting!!, a bonus chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal manga. Spectertvx (talkcontribs) 01:04, February 14, 2013 (UTC)

GX from the Duel Monster[edit]

I think that it's better to put that image in "Series175-GX" instead of the usually "Series175", because the latter one maybe using for Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monster instead and it will making a conflict if this one was put there instead. --iFredCat 01:17, February 11, 2013 (UTC)

Interesting... Well at least I knew how to stop using "redirect" since of me being a Mover. --iFredCat 01:57, February 11, 2013 (UTC)

Final Life Guard[edit]

Shouldn't it be "Gardna"? I'm basing this solely on the romaji, but if it was "Guard" wouldn't it be Gādo? Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 15:36, February 18, 2013 (UTC)

On a related note, can you check to see if "Negate Attack" was shown as a Spell or a Trap? The GX manga actually showed it both forms at different tims, I'm just sort of curious which one it was shown as (and if it was Spell, well edit the Decklist). Thanks. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:54, February 18, 2013 (UTC)

"Charisma Token"[edit]

I think it merits an article for its Type and Attribute each. Konami made the card, so it should be noted. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 00:17, February 20, 2013 (UTC)

RE: "Laugh" Icon[edit]

Is that image on Charisma Token the best quality image of the icon available? -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 21:31, February 20, 2013 (UTC)

I'll arrange time to make it later.
Since the image isn't clear, it won't be as detailed as the others. I can add details after if you find a better image.

Where do you find ZEXAL chapters? Kurobina (talkcontribs) 15:45, March 10, 2013 (UTC)

Wikia Improvements[edit]

Wikia Staff is in chat today until 5 PM PST. Feel free to join (I ask this because I feel that you may have an invested interest in proposed changes to the Wiki.) --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:08, March 14, 2013 (UTC)

Well, this was already mentioned in the forums, but I just decided to specifically remind you. Currently discussing Facebook/Twitter groups, so you might want a hand in discussing manga spoilers? Jump in anytime; a lot of people are in the chat already. Other changes being discussed can be found at Forum:Proposed Changes to the Wiki and Forum:Wikia Staff Day. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:23, March 14, 2013 (UTC)

About that anon[edit]

Hey, I noticed the delete tag reason you put in for that War God card was "spam/vandalism", but I think it's a matter of reformatting the article with the card table and such, rather than deleting it outright. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 14:31, March 16, 2013 (UTC)

GX Eyecatchers[edit]

Hey, I saw you needed some from the early GX. I got one from episode 41 which has Asuka and Cyber Tutu? Is that the one you want? TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 19:21, March 17, 2013 (UTC)

Blackwing[edit]

I don't think the given Japanese manga lore of "Blackwing - Damascus the Polar Night" matches up with the lore in the images you uploaded for it? Do you mind fixing it? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 02:31, March 23, 2013 (UTC)

5D's English manga scans[edit]

If you have them, would you mind uploading them? I'm particularly looking for "Power Tool Mecha Dragon" so I can remove the "unofficial lore" template. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 23:17, March 30, 2013 (UTC)

Oh, ya ya ty. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 23:48, March 30, 2013 (UTC)
Yup, the answer is just 2 lines above this one. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:26, April 13, 2013 (UTC)

Can you verify this? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 18:47, April 24, 2013 (UTC)

Anime cards[edit]

Regarding "Full Armor Gravitation", I'll put it in. But regarding "Guardian Dreadscythe", check the history. Afterwards, if you know enough Japanese (when spoken aloud), could you check the episodes (English and Japanese) and verify that? I believe I'm right, but a word otherwise from a person knowledgeable in Japanese would sway me otherwise. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:22, April 11, 2013 (UTC)

Bump. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:48, April 15, 2013 (UTC)

Number 32[edit]

Hey LAU, are you sure that Number 32 image isn't a fan proxy? Because it looks very off to me. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 00:09, April 22, 2013 (UTC)

Upon closer inspection, it definitely is one. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 00:12, April 22, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Summary[edit]

Yeah sure dude, I just made the summary so the page wouldn't be empty haha. TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 17:27, April 25, 2013 (UTC)

Random Trivia[edit]

Just shooting the breeze here, but would you happen to know any source for this? If not, would you mind bringing it up at NAC or something (or ask around in general?). I dunno, you seem like the kind of guy to ask. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 04:55, May 13, 2013 (UTC)

Silly goose, that would be too easy. No, I mean the Twitter thing. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:16, May 13, 2013 (UTC)
Maybe read the comments on the pics more thoroughly? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 00:10, May 14, 2013 (UTC)

5D's Ride 46[edit]

He used the name of the topic about it from Pojo: http://www.pojo.biz/board/showthread.php?p=27521898#post27521898 xD TheScarecrow14 (talkcontribs) 12:41, May 19, 2013 (UTC)

聖魂 (サイコ)[edit]

How come you removed the mention of "Holy Spirit" from this page? I'm pretty sure the kanji has a different meaning than the furigana or provides some non-standard definition at the least. -- Deltaneos (talk) 19:04, May 26, 2013 (UTC)

Manga name for Wheel of Fortune[edit]

Does the English manga call Jack's D-Wheel Wheel of Fortune or Phoenix Whirlwind or has it not been referred to by name in the manga? -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:35, June 5, 2013 (UTC)

Ride 30[edit]

I'm seeing no mention of "Chaos King Archfiend" on the page for Ride 30, but his card page says he appears. Do you know if it appears or not. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 04:28, June 12, 2013 (UTC)

100th Topic in this talk page[edit]

Maybe it's nearly time to archived your old topics from here? I don't want you to become mini-Dinoguy with all those topics hanging out. --iFredCat 20:56, June 13, 2013 (UTC)

Well, I am going to suggest you the same thing Toob suggested me - if it's become longer and heavier, it's time to archiving them up. --iFredCat 21:47, June 13, 2013 (UTC)
