- The most powerful non-Extra Deck monsters that can be used as Fusion Materials are "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior" and "Dystopia the Despondent", for a combined total of 8,500 ATK. Since neither can be Normal Summoned, they can be shifted out of your Deck with "Reasoning", "Monster Gate" or "Magical Merchant" for "Dark Calling".
- "Raviel, Lord of Phantasms" and "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior" are Fusion Materials for "Armityle the Chaos Phantasm" and "Imperion Magnum the Superconductive Battlebot", respectively. That makes them compatible with "Elemental HERO Prisma", "Fusion Reserve" and "Fusion Conscription" to consistently summon "Dark Gaia" with 7500 ATK via either "Dark Fusion" or "Dark Calling".
- Use "Gale Dogra" or "Extra-Foolish Burial" to send "Imperion Magnum the Superconductive Battlebot" or "Crimson Nova Trinity the Dark Cubic Lord" from the Extra Deck to the Graveyard to banish for "Dark Calling".
- Specific Rock-Type monsters can be sent from the Main Deck to the Graveyard by "Catapult Zone" or "Rock Bombardment", while Fiend-Type monsters can instead use "Fiendish Rhino Warrior", "Terrifying Toddler of Torment" or "Fiend Griefing".
- Alternatively, the Rock monster can be searched by "Gallant Granite".
- Instead of using cards that are dead draws until fused, weaker but more versatile monsters such as "Nibiru, the Primal Being", "Lord of the Heavenly Prison", "Radian, the Multidimensional Kaiju", "Gorz the Emissary of Darkness". If this card is Fuion Summoned using such cards after they have expended their effects, this card would still have enough ATK to destroy most monsters in battle.
- High-ATK low-Level Normal Monsters such as "Evilswarm Heliotrope" and "Archfiend Soldier" can be gravitated towards the Graveyard with "Painful Decision", "Unexpected Dai" or "Rescue Rabbit".
- The Extra Deck's ease of access allows Decks focused on either Rock-Types or Fiend-Types to simply use an appropriate, easily-summoned monster of the other Type if they want to summon "Dark Gaia" through "Dark Calling". The Rock-Type "Gogogo" archetype, for example, could Xyz Summon "Number 85: Crazy Box" and use it as Fusion Material once it is sent to the Graveyard.
- Using the effect of "Evil HERO Infernal Gainer" on this card makes for a very powerful double attacker.
- "Number 30: Acid Golem of Destruction" can be used, being one of the strongest Rock-Types in terms of ATK, as a Fusion Material for this monster to get all of its ATK with none of its drawbacks, and without having to fill your Main Deck with monsters just for the purpose of fusing into this. However, it will first have to be destroyed, as it prevents yourself from Special Summoning while it is under your control.
- Fortunately, due to "Acid Golem" being a rather powerful monster in its own right, your opponent is likely to be forced to destroy it themselves.
- Being a Rank 3 Xyz monster, "Acid Golem" can easily be summoned by "Tour Guide From the Underworld", a Fiend-Type monster.
- Ritual Monsters can be used as easily-searchable high-ATK Fusion Material or as fuel for cards such as "Trade-In".
- "Supreme King's Castle" can ease this card's Fusion Summon. When that card is on the field, use "Super Polymerization" to use your opponent's monsters as Fusion Material.
