Elemental Lord
"Elemental Lord", known as "Spirit God" (
The "Elemental Lords" share three peculiarities; the Summon condition: "Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by having exactly 5 [corresponding Attribute] monsters in your Graveyard, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways.", the effect: "If this card leaves the field, skip the Battle Phase of your next turn.", and a variable effect that triggers upon the monster's Special Summon. The Attributes of the "Lords" all coincide with the main Attribute themes of the pack they were released in. Each "Lord" is named in a different language. "Grandsoil" and "Windrose" in English/German, "Moulinglacia" and "Forceaurage" in French, and "Pyrorex" in Latin and ancient Greek.
The monsters have a common appearance - mystical armor possessed by a specific elemental spirit that all have multiple lightning strikes in their backgrounds.
Their Trigger Effects can also be seen as mirroring the effects of powerful Spell and Trap Cards from the game's past that were Forbidden at least once. This theory was actually confirmed on Konami's Official Strategy Site[1], discrediting the fan-favorite theory of them representing new takes of the "Spiritual Art" series of Trap Cards.
