"The Power of Bonds" (キズナのちから Kizuna no Chikara) is the twelfth chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! manga. It was first published March 3, 2023, in the Saikyō Jump magazine.

Summary

As Rovian uses the overwhelming power of the Earthdamar, even if it kills her, Yudias counterattacks with a formation that makes use of the power of bonds.

Featured Duel: Yudias Velgear vs Rovian Kirishima

Duel continues from the previous Rush.

Yudias has 3400 LP, "Transamu Rainac" (1600/0) and "Transamu Raiker" (1000/1000) face-up on his field, both in Attack Position, and two face-down cards in his Spell & Trap Zones; Rovian has 2900 LP and no cards on her field.

Turn 4: Rovian
Rovian Normal Summons "Ampler Glee" (1500/0) and "Bluegrass Stealer" (1200/0). As "Bluegrass Stealer" was Normal Summoned this turn, Rovian activates its effect to send the top card of her Deck to the Graveyard, then if she sent a Psychic Type monster to the Graveyard this way, this turn she can treat a face-up Psychic Type monster on her field as two Tributes for the Tribute Summon of a WIND Attribute Psychic Type monster in Attack Position. Rovian sends an unknown monster from the top of her Deck to the Graveyard, then chooses "Bluegrass Stealer". Rovian Tributes "Bluegrass Stealer" to Tribute Summon "Plectcrime of the Deadly Dirge" (2500/1500). As Rovian Normal Summoned a monster, Yudias activates his face-down Trap Card "Nebula Power" to increase the ATK of a face-up Galaxy Type Normal Monster on his field by the number of monsters on Rovian's field x 500 until the end of this turn. Yudias chooses "Rainac" ("Rainac": 1600/0 → 2600/0). As "Plectcrime" was Normal Summoned this turn, Rovian activates its effect, paying 1000 LP to add an Equip Spell Card from her Graveyard to her hand, then increase its ATK by 400 until the end of this turn. Rovian pays 1000 LP (Rovian: 2900 → 1900 LP) and adds "Heavy Arms - Double Nexcalibur" from her Graveyard to her hand ("Plectcrime": 2500/1500 → 2900/1500). Rovian activates the Equip Spell Card "Heavy Arms - Double Nexcalibur", sending a WIND Attribute Psychic Type monster from her hand to the Graveyard and equipping it to a face-up Psychic Type monster on her field to allow it to attack twice per turn. Rovian sends an unknown monster from her hand to the Graveyard and equips "Heavy Arms - Double Nexcalibur" to "Plectcrime". Rovian activates the Equip Spell Card "Heavenly Arms - Daglassic", equipping it to a face-up Psychic Type monster on her field to increase its ATK by 500, and gain 1000 LP when the equipped monster destroys Yudias's monsters by battle. Rovian equips "Heavenly Arms - Daglassic" to "Plectcrime" ("Plectcrime": 2900/1500 → 3400/1500). "Plectcrime" attacks and destroys "Raiker" and "Rainac" (Yudias: 3400 → 1000 → 200 LP; Rovian: 1900 → 2900 → 3900 LP). As a face-up Galaxy Type monster on Yudias's field was destroyed by Rovian's attack or card effect and he has no other monsters on his field, Yudias activates his face-down Trap Card "Transamu Arrive" to Special Summon a Galaxy Type Normal Monster with 1600 or more ATK from his hand or Graveyard to his field in face-up Attack Position. Yudias Special Summons "Rainac" (1600/0) from his Graveyard in Attack Position. As Rovian ends her turn, the ATK of "Plectcrime" returns to normal ("Plectcrime": 3400/1500 → 3000/1500).

Turn 5: Yudias
Yudias Normal Summons "Giant Bulge" (1300/1300). Yudias Tributes "Giant Bulge" and "Rainac" to Tribute Summon "Transamu Rainac Overwrite" (2500/1600). Yudias activates the effect of "Overwrite", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to reduce the Level of a face-up Level 4 or higher monster on the field by 3 until the end of this turn, then increase the ATK of "Overwrite" by 500 until the end of this turn, and if he has "Rainac" in his Graveyard, the name of "Overwrite" becomes "Rainac" this turn. Yudias sends an unknown card from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and chooses "Overwrite" ("Overwrite" → "Rainac": Level 7 → 4; 2500/1600 → 3000/1600). Yudias Normal Summons "Transamu Jerai" (1000/500) and "Transamu Ephyrai" (1200/500).[Notes 1] As Rovian has a monster on her field, Yudias activates the effect of "Ephyrai", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to increase the ATK of a face-up "Rainac" on his field by 1000 until the end of this turn. Yudias sends an unknown card from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and chooses "Rainac"/"Overwrite" ("Rainac"/"Overwrite": 3000/1600 → 4000/1600). As Yudias has a face-up monster with 1600 or more ATK on his field, he activates the effect of "Jerai", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to allow a face-up Level 4 LIGHT Attribute Galaxy Type monster on his field to make up to two attacks on monsters during this turn. Yudias sends an unknown card from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and chooses "Rainac"/"Overwrite". "Rainac"/"Overwrite" attacks and destroys "Plectcrime" and "Ampler Glee" (Rovian: 3900 → 2900 → 400 LP). "Ephyrai" and "Jerai" attack Rovian directly (Rovian: 400 → 0 LP).

Notes

  1. In the original version of this chapter, published in the March 2023 Saikyō Jump, "Transamu Jerai" is called "Transamu Jurai" (トランザム・ジュライ Toranzamu Jurai) instead and its name and ATK are swapped with that of "Transamu Ephyrai" at one point. Those errors were fixed when this chapter got released in Volume 2 of "GO RUSH!!".
