Duel Dragon's names

After what you told me about Power Tool's manga name, yeah, I noticed the English nomenclature differs from the Japanese one. In Japanese, the Duel Dragons are all "(adjective 1) (adjective 2) Dragon - (name)"; but so far, all official English names are like this: "(name) (adjective) Dragon". Like, Stardust Spark Dragon, Ancient Pixie Dragon (reminder: "Ancient" is a name in the manga, not an adjective), Power Tool Mecha Dragon. Should we start naming all Duel Dragons like this, the way you do with the Organization names, or just use whatever Viz uses until they are released in the TCG? Question about Yugioh Zexal episodes 131 and 132

Last week the episodes were about Mizael and Kaito's showdown, Now this week its been changed to Vector vs Durbe and Merag

Meh unless the website was hacked they weren't fake: they were either put up by accident - an error, or they have been changed - retconed. Might not be canon but they ain't fake. As such I have left them in a notes section for documentation... Ugh, yeah, maybe we should have kept TCE. I added it as a deletion candidate because…well you can kinda see why, but I sorta jumped the gun on that though. But remember what the previews for old episodes were, where they mentioned a guy named Proto who summons Shining Xyz monsters? Yeah, pretty sure that won't happen, or at least not anytime soon. I'd prefer to keep both articles, at least until the next episode airs. There's a possibility Alco will still be around, he just won't encounter Kite. Assuming that doesn't happen, I'd like to add a note to both articles that just says "this came from an official source but was redacted" or something. We should still document them in some way. Number 10X

Something messed up

Hi i noticed on all the single Zexal episode pages the bottom box of all season 2 on each one is kind of lopsides with it being shown just on the left side just wanted to bring it up if you havent noticed.

Mode vs Position

User:Philiosophical-Psychological Informist Togekiss and I are having a dispute with mode and position on the pages. Which one is better for card appearances pages? I prefer position because that's how this wiki has been referring to it for a majority of pages which includes many anime episodes. Also his edits are helpful, but a couple of them undo most of the hard work I placed into the pages (which I find a bit troublesome). Question About Wikia Infomation

Hey dude, I see you changed my edit on the Druid page back. I didn't know that the site's bias was that it took anime text for granted for such things. The archetype page itself should explain it enough. If it doesn't, then let me know and I'll be sure to do so more fully there. But yes, the anime and manga counts. Also, see the navbox at the bottom of Druid? All archetype pages have that. Look in the support section. That will link you to any support a given archetype has. I think you misunderstood me, I am asking for what the site says is what is an isn't right. I would personally not say that Archetypes for the anime should count as an Archetype, as it does not appear in the TCG or OCG as one. In case there are anything else like that, I would like to know if there was a page that talked about that, or what biases the site has for such things. This wiki is a wiki for all aspects of the YGO franchise. So the anime and manga count. There never was a discussion about that particular rule, but its been taken as a given by the community. We document everything. Admittedly, a list of archetypes that excludes anime/manga cards is probably something many players would find useful, but there's no real way to that here right now beyond using categories. OK, let me get some things straight.

Nasch and Merag's souls being "transfered" into the dead bodies of Reginald and Rio Kastle is a grave misunderstanding within the concepts of life and death. It makes it sounds like a morbid way of resurrection, like the Dark Signers from 5D's, when rather they are given new life by the very spirits of the Barians, hence reincarnation is a more appropriate term for their revival, since Reginald Kastle could still recall his childhood but not his past life's memories until later that season. There are also characters in the Yugioh franchise that where also reincarnated in life like Seto Kaiba, Jaden Yuki, and even Jack Atlas. The Kastle siblings' death could be best described as a near-death experience, since they are also confirmed descendants of Nasch. "Reincarnation" is similar to what happened here, but its not the same thing. All the examples you mentioned make sense as "reincarnations". It doesn't work in this case, though. I shouldn't really be saying anything about this topic but according to what you just said Superlogan you are saying the same soul existed in barian nasch and merag when vector killed them, as were in the body of original rio and reginald who the died then had the same soul that was in 2 places put into that dead body whilst the other body is unknown... There is so little logic in everything on most sides of any discussion about these characters.

Let me make this simple then: Reginald and Rio's human souls should've merged with Nasch and Merag's when the two were revived in their respective bodies, not simply transferred out of their empty husks. Its the soul what makes the memories and emotions of a person, and since both Reginald/Nasch and Rio/Merag have recalled sharing the same childhood before and even after their deaths, its only fair to say that both Nasch and Merag became PART of Reginald and Rio Kastle, and only recently have the two started reconnecting with their former selves. In fact, Nasch and Merag should be the first two characters to be reincarnated twice in the same Yu-gi-oh! anime (First as Barians, second as humans). You may have noticed it already, but I'm re-checking the R manga now (since I've bought Viz's volumes), and as usual, with each manga tons of doubts come. xD First, I've noticed something: instead of translating the manga lore, Viz just copy/paste'd the TCG lores of the TCG-existing cards (for example, you can see Dark Magician Girl has no lore at all in JP, but in Viz's volume she has the TCG lore). I just ignore them and go with the JP lores, right? (I did it with Diffusion Wave-Motion, for example) Second, the NC images. In the omakes, there are full-body drawings of some monsters. Regarding the lore thing, Viz also tried to adapt the lolmangalogic lores to the TCG. For example, Gem of Lycanthropy's lore translates to "Change the form of a Mutant.", while in Viz's volume the lore is "Tribute 1 'Mutant' monster to Special Summon another 'Mutant' monster from your deck.". I don't see any harm in just uploading all the omake images and keeping them. If you don't want to do that, use your own discretion for which is better. Y'know, many people edited manga articles to do changes to links like this (like, linking to the "manga" or "D Team" article), but many of those don't have the article (as you can see in that edit). That new card database site is pretty cool, huh? I'd actually always wondered if high-quality pictures of anime-only cards existed somewhere, and it look like they do! It also finally solved some discrepancies that have puzzled us for ages, like what card type the Legendary Dragons are (Normal Spells) and whether or not Silent Swordsman LV0's alternate forms count as separate monsters (they do). Don Thousand

Is it alright to add that Don Thousand killed all the Seven Barian Emperors. We have evidence from Girag and Alito past lives of him giving them the Number 10X. We only know that he killed Girag and Alito. We should know for sure with Mizael quite soon. The previews for Nasch vs. Vector also mention their true memories being brought up, and that will no doubt involve Durbe ad Merag too. So I'd prefer if we just waited. @Cheesdude: Personally, I think that the Nasch vs Vector eps will tell us the truth about Merag's past life memories along with Nasch and Vector's true past life memories but I can't see Durbe's true memories being revealed until Yuma Duels Vector/Don Thousand because Nasch has 73 and 94 while Vector has 65. Neither of them have 44, Yuma has 44, so Durbe's true memories will have to wait a long while to be revealed. Also, Mizael's true memories were revealed this episode, although it's strange they chose the 1st half of the Duel with Kite vs Mizael instead of the 2nd half of the duel like with Yuma vs Alito and Alito vs Girag. And it turns out that Don Thousand did kill Mizzy after all and also gave him his Number 10X. Also, Don Thousand now has 3 forms as of this ep: His Barian form, his Grim Reaper/Shinigami form, and his Shaman form 9that's right, DT was the wandering Shaman). @Numbers I'm aware of all that. My point was that Nasch, Vector, Merag and Durbe all have past lives at are intertwined, so we could very easily see all their memories at once. Chapter gallery

Y'know, I usually add shots of the most important parts of the chapters in their articles when I write the full summary for them, but now that I can't do that anymore the manga articles are pretty abandoned... I was thinking, do you think I should start making a gallery for the chapters, adding files to show the main events of it? Since the biographies aren't updated either, I think that could help a bit removing this "abandoned" vibe. Also, I've seen other Wikias, such as the One Piece Wikia, have a gallery for each character, and it looks nice. A gallery for chapter articles would be fine. That's been on in the past for episode articles before a summary gets written. As for character galleries, I'm not fond of the idea. Ideally, the images should be next to text that they describe as visual aides. If there truly is no other place to put those images and the images exist, I guess it would be fine, but it should be undone as soon as any other way presents itself, I think. There's a what could have happened thing on 5D's 92 article, and I'm curious as to our stance on those things. Don't we usually not list how Duels could be won unless a character says it (a character not doing something that would have won them the Duel isn't a mistake after all)? Manga

I'm starting to think that if it wasn't for me, this'd be an anime-only Wikia. xD I'm taking some time now since I'm in vacation for a couple of weeks to re-check R, but man, we have nothing about DM. Card effects, card images, we lack even chapter articles. I'd like to add that whole stuff, but it's too much for me alone. I was thinking, do you happen to know of 1 or 2 guys around here who have DM's volumes in English and would be interested in eiditing the manga? If someone could create the articles with the official English names (and maybe duel summary, since I'm used to writing those in a completely different standard), I could add Japanese infos and images. I have a few English volumes and I believe Deltaneos does well. There is a user whose name I can't remember that also worked on some R stuff recently and mentioned the English volumes. Noble Knight page

Since there is no reason to let this devolve into an edit war, it would probably be better to take the issue up here. The site's standard for an archetype is based on the name first, and what the effect supports second. While I believe that standard is flawed beyond belief, it is still what I have been going by when reverting or removing any changes in regards to adding Gwenhwyfar from the Noble Knights page. She is a Noble Arms card and not a Noble Knight, by the definition set by the site. None of the other Noble Arms are consider Noble Knights despite the fact that they are all meant to support them

Lady of the Lake on the other hand, is considered a Noble Knight card because her effect is clearly meant to support them even if she is NOT a member of the archetype by name.

Unless this has changed since the last time I fought with the staff over the definition of an archetype (Abyss being an archetype including all Mermails despite the fact that Mermails did not support the 2 Abyss monsters, and the Abyss Spell/Traps all being Mermail support) then I fail to see how I am the one in the wrong for maintaining the page while following what the site staff has decided to be the standard to follow - Axel Shiokawa (talk • contribs) 07:46, January 4, 2014 (UTC)
