The King of the Copycats - Part 2, known as VS Yugi's Deck (Part 2) in the Japanese, is the ninteenth episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. It aired in Japan on February 9, 2005, and in the US on November 18, 2005.

Episode Summary

The duel between Jaden and Dimitri, a Ra Yellow who stole the deck of Yugi Motou, continued. Not only that, Dimitri actually believed that he was the King of Games.

Jaden (1300 LP): summoned Winged Kuriboh (300/200) in defense mode and placed one card face down. Dimitri: summoned Kuriboh (300/200) and attacked Burstsinatrix with Chaos Magician, but Jaden used his face down, Super Junior Confrontation. It forced both their weakest monsters, Kuriboh and Winged Kuriboh, to do battle instead. Winged Kuriboh was destroyed and Dimitri placed one card face down. Jaden: played Pot of Greed to draw two more cards and then summoned Bubbleman (800/600). He used the field spell, Skyscraper, to increase the attack points of his hero monsters by 1000 when they attack a monster weaker then they are and equipped Bubbleman with Bubble Blaster to increase his attack to 1600. It attacked Kuriboh, but Dimitri played his face down, Multiply, which sacrificed Kuriboh and summoned 4 Kuriboh Tokens in it’s place. One was destroyed and Jaden ended his turn with a face down. Dimitri: played Card of Sanctity, forcing them to draw until they hold six cards and then summoned Watapon (300), which can be instantly summoned when it’s moved to the user’s hand by way of magic, trap, or monster effect. He then sacrificed Watapon to summon Dark Magician Girl (2000/1700), who gets 300 extra points with Dark Magician in the graveyard, 2300. He used Chaos Magician to destroy the Bubble Blaster and then Dark Magician Girl to destroy Bubbleman. Jaden (800 LP): played Polymerization to fuse Avian and Burstsinatrix to summon Flame Wingman (2100/1900) followed by the magic card, Warrior Returning Alive, to bring Sparkman (1600/1300) back to the field. With Skyscraper, Flame Wingman got 3100 points, enough to destroy Chaos Magician and do damage equal to it’s attack points to Dimitri. He then, placed two cards face down and played Emergency Provisions to sacrifice one face down and gain 1000 life points and used Sparkman to destroy one Kuriboh. Dimitri (900 LP): switched Dark Magician Girl to defense mode and then played Spider Web, which let him take Emergency Provisions from Jaden’s graveyard and add to his hand. He then placed two cards face down followed by Monster Reincarnation to bring Kuriboh back to his hand and played Emergency Provisions to sacrifice all three cards to gain 3000 life points. Jaden (1800 LP): destroyed Dark Magician Girl with Flame Wingman an did damage equal to her attack. He then played Diffusion to separate Flame Wingman back to Avian and Burstsinatrix and used them to destroy the last two Kuriboh tokens. Sparkman attacked directly but Dimitri discarded Kuriboh to block the attack. Dimitri (1600 LP): removed one light monster, Watapon, and one dark monster, Kuriboh, from his deck to summon Black Luster Soldier- Envoy of the Beginning (3000/2800), a card so rare it was believed to not even exist. It attacked Avian and thanks to it’s ability it could attack a second time, but Jaden blocked the second with his trap card, Hero Spirit, which reduces the damage to zero when a hero monster is destroyed on any turn.

Jaden didn’t think he could win this duel, especially since he was facing Yugi’s deck. Winged Kuriboh appeared and told him he could win. That’s when Jaden realized that Dimitri doesn’t have the heart of the cards on his side because he’s copying someone else’s deck.

Jaden: played Silent Doom to bring Avian back from the graveyard, followed by Double Spell, which let Jaden discard one magic card and play Polymerization from Dimitri’s graveyard. He fused Avian and Burstsinatrix to bring back Flame Wingman and with Skyscraper still on the field, it got 3100 attack points. It destroyed Black Luster Soldier and did damage equal to it’s attack and won Jaden the duel.

Dimitri couldn’t believe that he lost even when he used Yugi’s deck. That’s when Zane and Alexis showed up, who saw the broken display case and watched the duel. In fact, the school had watched the duel and where excited to see Yugi’s deck in a duel rather then a display case. Zane Jaden then taught Dimitri that he has to learn to rely on his own cards rather then copy someone else’s. The next day, Dimitri returned the deck in time for the exhibit. Jaden then found out that Dimitri was actually going around the school trying to copy him. Jaden tried to work hard to make him get it right.
