Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's[edit]

Anime statistics[edit]

  • Originally Luna had a vision of the Ancient battle between the Crimson Dragon with its servants against the Earthbound immortals, where she saw a Dragon that resembled Power Tool Dragon. Although Leo assumed his Dragon to be that very monster, Luna didn't think it was the same Dragon, as she didn't think such a high tech robotic Dragon could have took part in the Ancient battle.[1] However Leo is proven to later be correct about "Power Tool Dragon". After Leo became a Signer, the Crimson Dragon burned away "Power Tool Dragons" armor, revealing its True form, which Luna immediatly realizes is the same Dragon from her dream.[2]
  • Its Summon chant in the Japanese version is "Docking strength with courage to protect world peace! Synchro Summon! Envoy of love and justice, Power Tool Dragon!".
  • Its attack name in the Japanese anime is "Crafty Break" and its effect name is "Power Search".
  • In the English-dubbed anime, while equipped with Power Pickaxe, its attack name is "Super-Charged Slice".
  • This card appears to represent Leo's aspirations to do good things during the first season and his former naivity (Leo's "outer shell", his former exaggerations that he was a Signer like Luna and this card's toy-like apperance and resemblance to "Life Stream Dragon").

Dark Signers[edit]

  • In episode 36, Leo uses this card during his Ground Duel against Sayer. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Morphtronic Radion" with "Morphtronic Remoten". Leo then uses this card's effect to add a random Equip Spell from his Deck to his hand ("Double Tool C&D"). He then equips "Double Tool C&D" to this card. Since it is currently Leo's turn, "Double Tool C&D" increases this card's ATK by 1000. This card then attacks "Krebons". Sayer tries to activate the effect of "Krebons" to negate the attack, but due to the first effect of "Double Tool C&D", the effects of "Krebons" are negated during the Battle Phase. This card then destroys "Krebons". On Leo's End Phase, the first effect of "Double Tool C&D" expires. On the last turn of the Duel, the second effect of "Double Tool C&D" becomes active, making this card the only monster Sayer can attack. This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.
    • At the beginning of the episode, Leo takes this card out and asks Luna if this card appeared in her dream. Luna notes this card looked similar to a dragon in her dream, but it doesn't matter, however Leo believes it matters. Since Leo has this card, he believes he could be the final Signer. As Leo dances around and hopes that he gets the final mark, Luna secretly tells Bolt Tanner and Tenzen Yanagi that she said what she said to cheer Leo up as she believes that this card couldn't have been the dragon in her dream as a robot dragon couldn't have appeared in an ancient ritual.
  • In episode 48, Leo uses this card during his Ground Duel against Devack. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Morphtronic Celfon" and "Morphtronic Magnen Bar" (who was Level 3 via "Level Mirroring") with "Morphtronic Remoten". Leo then activates this card's first effect to add a random Equip Spell from his Deck to his hand ("Break! Draw!"). He then equips "Break! Draw!" to this card. This card then attacks and destroys "Ape Magician". Leo then draws one card as per the effect of "Break! Draw!". In the next episode, "Zeman the Ape King" (whose ATK was 3000 due to the effect of "Closed Forest"), but Leo sends "Break! Draw" to the Graveyard to prevent his monster's destruction, however he still takes Battle Damage. Later Leo uses this card's first effect to add a random Equip Spell Card from his Deck to his hand ("Megamorph"). Leo then equips "Megamorph" to this card, but as both players' Life Points are equal, "Megamorph" has no effect. Leo then switches this card to Defense Position. "Zeman the Ape King" then attacks this card. Devack then activates "Roaring Earth" to grant his monsters the ability to inflict piercing damage. Leo sends "Megamorph" to the Graveyard to prevent his monster's destruction, however "Zeman the Ape King" then inflicts piercing damage to Leo. "Roaring Earth" then decreases this card's ATK and DEF by 300. In the following episode, Leo activates this card's first effect to add a random Equip Spell Card from his Deck to his hand ("Double Tool C&D"). Leo then switches this card to Attack Position and equips "Double Tool C&D". Since it is currently Leo's turn, "Double Tool C&D" increases this card's ATK by 1000. This card then attacks "Zeman the Ape King". After damage calculation, Leo sends "Double Tool C&D" to the Graveyard to prevent his monster's destruction, so only "Zeman" is destroyed. Devack then activates "Dark Matter" to draw two cards and set them in his Monster Card Zones. Leo then equips this card with "Power Converter". Later "Earthbound Immortal Cusillu" attacks directly via its own effect, but Leo sends "Power Converter" to the Graveyard to increase his Life Points by this card's ATK at the cost of reducing this card's ATK to 0. The direct attack continues. Luna at this point, takes over for Leo. On Devack's End Phase, the effect of "Power Converter" expires.
  • In episode 50, Luna uses this card during her Ground Duel against Devack. She then activates this card's first effect to add a random Equip Spell Card from Leo's Deck to her hand ("Central Shield"). She then equips "Central Shield" to this card, forbidding Devack from conducting direct attacks while "Central Shield" is around. On Devack's next turn, "Cusillu" attacks this card, but Luna activates "Limiter Removal" to double this card's ATK until the End Phase. Damage is calculated, but Devack activates the effect of "Cusillu" to Tribute "Ancient Fairy Dragon" and prevent his monster's destruction as well as halve Luna's Life Points. On Devack's End Phase, the effect of "Limiter Removal" expires and Luna sends "Central Shield" to the Graveyard to prevent the final effect of "Limiter Removal" from destroying this card. Leo at this point rejoins Luna. Later, this card (who was equipped with "Rocket Pilder") attacks "Cusillu". Due to "Rocket Pilder", this card is not destroyed, but Luna and Leo still take Battle Damage. At the end of the Damage Step, the second effect of "Rocket Pilder" decreases the ATK of "Cusillu" by the ATK of this card until the End Phase. "Pain to Power" then increases the ATK of "Ancient Fairy Dragon" by 800 (which was the total amount of Battle Damage Leo and Luna took from the battle between this card and "Cusillu"). This card remained on the field until the Duel was over.

Pre-World Racing Grand Prix[edit]

  • In episode 67, this card appears in Leo's thoughts when he complains about how he could have summoned this card if he had drawn "Marauding Captain" and his Life Points and "Comrade Swordsman of Landstar" had survived Dexter's last turn. Miss Bartlet scolds Leo for saying that as this card wasn't valid for the Warrior Decks the class was testing out.
  • In episode 70, Leo uses this card during his Ground Duel against Haley. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Morphtronic Videon" with "Morphtronic Scopen". Leo then activates this card's effect to add a random Equip Spell Card from his Deck to his hand ("Break! Draw!"). Leo then discards "Morphtronic Cord" as per the effect of "Circle of Life" in order to allow himself to activate Spell Cards this turn. Leo then equips "Break! Draw!" to this card. This card then attacks and destroys "Hollow Spirit". The effect of "Break! Draw!" then activates, allowing Leo to draw one card. The effect of "Hollow Spirit" then activates, allowing Haley to Special Summon "Hollow Ghost". On Haley's next turn, "Hollow Ghost" attacks this card. Damage is calculated, but Leo sends "Break! Draw" to the Graveyard in order to prevent this card from being destroyed. The effect of "Hollow Ghost" then activates, inflicting 600 damage to Leo. On the final turn of the Duel, Leo activates this card's effect to add a random Equip Spell Card from his Deck to his hand ("Power Pickaxe"). Leo then equips "Power Pickaxe" to this card. Leo then activates the effect of "Power Pickaxe" to banish "Hollow Spirit" from Haley's Graveyard and increase this card's ATK by half the ATK of "Hollow Spirit". Since "Hollow Spirit" is no longer in Haley's Graveyard, the ATK of "Hollow Ghost" becomes 0. This card then attacks and destroys "Hollow Ghost", winning Leo the Duel.
  • In episode 78, Leo uses this card during his Turbo Duel with Luna against Lester. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Morphtronic Boomboxen" with "Morphtronic Scopen". On Lester's next turn, Leo activates "Power Break" to return all Equip Cards on the field to their owners' Decks and inflict 500 damage to Lester for each Equip Card returned this way. Since two were returned this way, Lester takes 1000 damage. After "Meklord Empror Skiel" attacks Leo directly via the effect of "Skiel Attack 5", this card is destroyed.

Ark Cradle[edit]

  • In episode 150, Yusei uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Z-one. He Synchro Summons this card via the effect of "Synchron Keeper". Since Yusei Synchro Summoned this card through the effect of "Synchron Keeper", this card's effects are negated. After Yusei Normal Summons "Turbo Synchron", he tunes this card with "Turbo Synchron" in order to Synchro Summon "Life Stream Dragon". In the next episode, Yusei activates the second effect of "Converging Wishes" to banish this card and "Turbo Synchron" from his Graveyard in order to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon". After Yusei and his friends escape the Divine Temple and get rid of it, Yusei returns this card and "Life Stream Dragon" to Leo.
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Yusei has when Yusei explains how he was able to avoid the effect of "Sandaion, the Timelord" and summon this card.
