Millennium Puzzle (Forbidden Memories)
The Millennium Puzzle is an item in Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories. This is the game's incarnation of the Millennium Puzzle from the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga.

Ancient Egypt[edit]
Heishin and the other Mages used the Millennium Rod to invade the palace, demanding to know the location of the Millennium Puzzle. Simon Muran slipped the Puzzle to the Prince and told him to take it and run. He explained that the Puzzle was the final key to unlocking the seal to great power and should it fall into the wrong hands it would mean Armageddon. Seto spotted the exchange and told them to hand it over, offering to maybe help them escape from Heishin in return. Simon instructed the Prince to run, but he was blocked by Heishin and had no option, but to Duel him. Although Heishin won, Simon held him back and told the Prince to shatter the Puzzle.
By shattering the Millennium Puzzle, the Prince's soul became sealed inside it. Simon was able to speak with him inside the Puzzle and apologized, while saying this was the only way he was able to save both him and the Puzzle, which he could not allow to be handed over to Heishin. He told the Prince that one day when someone puts the Puzzle together again, the Prince will live to walk among men and that person will help him return to his world. But until that day, the Prince must sleep.
20th-century Japan[edit]
Yugi solved the Millennium Puzzle in the 20th century and entered the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship Tournament, which gathered the holders of all seven Millennium Items.
Yugi experienced what he believed to be a dream in which he saw the Prince, whom he understood to a person from another world, looking just like him, who was trapped in the Puzzle. Shadi felt drawn to the Millennium Puzzle, as his own Millennium Items reacted to it. Yugi told Shadi about the dream and Shadi identified the Prince as "Yami Yugi", Yugi's doppleganger, who was born from the power of the Millennium Puzzle and emerges from within Yugi. Using the Millennium Key, Shadi allowed Yugi to delve deep into his mind to meet with the Prince, who gave him the blank Millennium Item Cards.
Yugi defeated the other Millennium Item holders, causing their Items to be sucked into the card. Once he had collected the other six Items into their cards, they reacted with the Millennium Puzzle and sent the Prince back to his time.
